Trying to understand

So I realize football throws up some crazy results, it's the nature of the game....but I just played against the second placed team in my league, I'm top, won 9 drawn 1. He has the same stats, he is a 4 star 21, I'm 5 star 31....he played a 4-4-1-1, I played 3-1-4-2, I was at home, I never watched the game, he did....even though i was up in EVERY stat, poss, shots at, shots on, corners etc....and somehow lost 0-2....really!!....all my players had decent ratings, 1 player a 6, all the rest 7 & 8's....overall better than his player ratings....so what's the deal....???

It happens mate, I have never managed a perfect record in the league yet!, its just how the engine works, we are all baffled by these silly results but know one truely understands why?, it could be condition, morale, age of players, something else or just random variables selected by the server engine, just forget about it and move onto the next game!, you will come across it again if not this season but another one.

Dude, I don't like Top11 too much but let me tell you something:

You are thinking like a gambler, you presume the better team must win.

Did you want to win every game just because your team is richer and better? In a football field it's 11 men against 11 men and a 3 to 1 difference suddenly becomes a 50/50 because your team is in a bad day, ran out of luck while your opponent is in a jackpot day.

A couple of days ago Atletico de Madrid lost 2-0 against poor Almeria, but yesterday they won 2-0 at San Siro.

This one is better:
In 2008 Portugal lost a crucial game at home with Denmark by 2-3.
In 2013 Denmark lost a crucial game at home with Armenia (!!!) by 0-4.
Teams were all in good shape, it's just those things.

Real football is even harder than T11, isn't it?; anyway, it's better to have a 6* goalie than a 4* one, so if our 6* goalie is able to make great saves and your 4* goalie is not, why didn't Atlético deserve to win?

But you can't count only the saves. Atletico had only 1 clear chance and they shot the goal.
