Why can't we sell a 6-star player?

Manager lvl: 39
League lvl: 33
This is my 42nd season actually, finished outside of top 7 for thrice I guess.

There's no one above my lvl 33 league, 34?

So again, why can't we sell a 6-star player? I mean we can sell 6-star players but no one is buying...

you could be top of your server ?? check you cup games/fixture`s to see if any there are any league teams above your level

You seem to be at the top of the server as Spornybob here said.
If you dont get promoted this season you will then be able to sell the 6* player
