Can anyone help with an answer to this question.
When you are drawn into cup groups, you are matched with similar quality teams.
Is this based on average Q or your 1st 11 Q?
I do not buy at end of season but it could have some bearing on who I release & when (I must be on old transfer market because I have sold 4 players this year), as I have 2 & 3* players in my squad to keep average Q down.
I think it is the average of the minimum number of players, 14.
So, the best 14 players in your squad count?
I've just checked the displayed average quality when you compare your team with another (i.e. averaged all my squad and compared with the overall average) for that stat it's the whole 22.
If it's 14 then my cunning plan to replace some aging players with rubbish free transfers at the end of this season that I then release after the cup draw next season goes out the window!
