Free agents

Sorry to make a new thread but I have tried searching this. If contracts expire at end of seasons, how are there players every day that are free agents? Players that are sacked?

If contract expire at the end of the season... if I remember well, when next season start you have 7 days to do the new contract or the player will leave the team.

I'm not sure if they are converted in free agents, and the same if you end the contract of a player because you won't this in the club and don't wanna sell this... not sure but I think that yes.

I've seen a player I've sacked on auction as a free agent

If you release a player by sacking him, he automatically becomes a free agent.

but be carefull if you buy him to sell on !! you might not be able to sell him !!! I remember Saransh doing that lol

Yeah I needed cash.... I didn't even get that cash and ended up wasting a Token, like a typical buffoon :p

I bought a 21 years old, 3* free agent and sold him later for 55 Mio $ :D

if we buy a player and don't have enough space in the team.
then he stays for 7 days before he goes away, if I don't make space in the team for him and sign a contract.
Do I get my auction money back ? or loose that ?

You just cannot sign a CONTRACT without making space in the team...;)...

Yes, most wouldn't do that.

But, if you get a guy and don't sign him, it is the same as sacking, or as clicking on Release on a Youth... they all become FAs at the appropriate level.

And you lose the $$/T you spent on him.

I personally think that free agents are stupid to buy. Why would i buy a 32-33-34 year old player and then sell him?
If i see a young player I would buy him. If you buy them there is 85% that the player will retire the season you bought him.
That's why I always sell players when they are 32 years old,so I don't have to sack them. Sacking itself costs some money
