I win 8 in a row, grab an 8 point league lead, finish first in CL group, and I feel like I know everything about the game. Every counter formation works, every in-game decision is the right one, every acquisition pans out. I go L-W-L-W-D-L-D, my League lead shrinks to 2 points, I get knocked out of CL, and all of a sudden the game does not make any sense, the players are flopping, everything I know about counter formation is called into question.

I am playing the second place team today who is on fire with a 7 win streak. If I beat them, all is well. If I lose, I quit. If I draw, we can talk more.

I tied the second place team and held on to the 2-point league. I lost the away cup match 0:1 in the middle of the night with the opposing manager enjoying a 15% possession boost, and got knocked out of the cup. Overall I am winless in 5. I am playing the last place team tomorrow. If I don't win, I will seriously think Nordeus has an algorithm for "shaking things up" and knocking the high performing managers around. I was just watching "Catching Fire", the second "Hunger Games" movie, last night. Remember how the gamemakers decided to "shake things up a bit" when the good guys were just about to win? I feel like I am in that movie. I expect a river of blood and murderous monkeys any time now.

well, watching your games helps a lot.
It's worthy to spend 2T for changing the hour of your game to do that (ok, I suppose that you were playing away).

So, today was an important day in my season. QF in cup, 0-0 the away match against a better quality team, but globally didn't play better than me. Then I had a direct confrontation against my runner up, only 2 points difference.
I lose 3-0 in the league, actually an UGLY game from my team who still wasn't defeated this season! My players didn't do ANYTHING at all, conceded a penalty kick after 4 minutes, then not a single shot for whatever reason. Now I'm in second place with 1 point difference, the league is not lost but there's not many opportunities to recover, the other teams aren't that good.

Now, I could have easily made 1 or 2 goals in the cup, but no, I dominate the game, but then again, for NO REASON, I concede a goal, and he's away, so I have to score 2. I tied, but then again, a lot of fouls and yellow cards, lots of penalty kicks that my specialist completely misses.
And now I'm out.

Way to waste a season! The cup was my main objective.

It does seem to happen, big game and with 5 minutes you are either a goal down, key player is injured or red carded and despite everything you do the ball will not enter the net.

A bit like football sometimes really...

from my experience, when you're playing vs a lv above team, although the quality looks the same, he has more efficiency in the game (and it's the opposite for you).

Wow, I got a challenging champions league draw.

The draw consists of 29 league champions and 3 teams that finished 4th last season. The league champions are all the same level as me, the other three teams are all a level above me, one of them is defending a champions league title and all have 5* average quality for the entire roster. Safe to say they'll be 6/7* players by seasons end.

While welcoming a challenge is an exciting and exhilarating prospect, i'm don't think buying tokens is wise this season, since it'll only encourage Nordeus to make Champions Leagues like this more often.
