Well folks it's that time again...
July Fourth Season Review
July Fourth Season Summary (Game Season 53, My Season 31, My Level 29)
League
Final Position 1st Played 26 Won 23 Drawn 3 Lost 0 GF 99 GA 9 GD +90
July Fourth enjoyed a very easy league campaign this season as we coasted to the title without any pressure and we managed to see out the entire league season unbeaten this season, We had set ourselves up for a chance of the 26-0-0 but fell to Jon Utd with a 1-1 draw, Our other draws were against FC Kelantese and INCORRUPT.
Champions League
Final Position Runner-Up Played 13 Won 11 Drawn 1 Lost 1 GF 54 GA 8 GD +46
July Fourth's CL campaign was a high scoring one and we coasted an easy looking group with drawing a match with Pogon Barwice, Then in the knockout stages we easily disposed of Wisconsin, PIPPO FC and Jon Utd before playing OTTOMANS 1453 in the final and we lost a 1-0 lead to lose 1-2 and that had proved to be the only defeat we had this season in which was our most important game in the season it seemed. However OTTOMANS played very well in the final against us and deserved to win.
Cup
Final Position Winner Played 13 Won 12 Drawn 1 Lost 0 GF 47 GA 4 GD +43
July Fourth enjoyed a successful Cup campaign this season, Disposing easily of PAN UTD 11, RKS MIRKOW, FC Worth 87 and Fontanellese before having negotiate a tough semi-final against OTTOMANS 1453 again, winning the away leg 1-0 and drawing 1-1 in the home leg and almost conceded a late away goal to get eliminated, We then easily beat Pungpond in the Semi-Final and a 6-0 win over El Capo ment we retained the Cup again this season.
Total Games in all 3 competitions: Played 52 Won 46 Drawn 5 Lost 1 GF 200 GA 21 GD +179
Well... It's hard to say if this season is success or failure by our usually high standards, Normally a treble is success and anything less is a failure because we have been a very strong team over a number of seasons now, We come close to also producing another unbeaten season in all 3 competitons by losing the Champions League final and that also cost us the treble this season, But plenty of goals and very few goals against and a 72 match unbeaten run in all 3 competitions from last season are the highlights here as well as an unbeaten League/Cup campaign which strangely resulted in our first "little double" in our history lol... But I enjoyed this season and I have to say I can't complain too much about it. So maybe I can say it was quite successful looking back at it.

Performance Of The Season
July Fourth 6-0 Jon Utd (Champions League, Semi-Final 1st Leg)
This was probably our best match this season at an important stage of the season, As we know Jon Utd are a good strong team and on their day they are as good as match for anyone but July Fourth were hitting their peak and put this tie to bed by HT in the first leg with a brace from Papaleo and a Benayoun Hat-trick, Petersen got our 6th.
Disappointment Of The Season
OTTOMANS 1453 2-1 July Fourth (Champions League Final)
It was our only defeat of the season and thats why it has to go down as the disappointment, But you cannot say this really was a disappointing defeat because OTTOMANS outplayed us and deserved to win, What we are disappointed about is missing out on some more history we could of made this season.
Young Player Of The Season
Louis Shepherd more or less wins this by default now as he is our current only active U21 player that plays regularily, Adrian Mole is our other U18 and he is only a 2nd choice GK at present.
July Fourth Players Review and Player Of The Season
This season we can praise our team for scoring plenty of goals and also keeping our defence low too and many players could of made the top 3 for the POTS this season, But everything is based on importance than anything else.
3RD... LILY ALLEN
July Fourth's major signing to cover Petersen and Papaleo is a major success this season, especially at the beginning when Allen scored 5 goals in league game this season and took an early lead in the clubs top scorer early on, Then the goals did dry up a little mid season but still continued to play very well and consistent and eventually hit form again towards the end of the season.
2ND... STACEY PAPALEO
Stacey Papaleo scored the 2nd highest goal total by a JF player in a season (only Papaleo II scored more with 68 in a season back in S13/L13) but most of these goals this time around tended to come a lesser cruical times than in previous seasons also a high assists and MOTM total cannot be ignored again, But since importance is the key thing July Fourth POTS are based on, We had a better player this season.
THE JULY FOURTH PLAYER OF THE SEASON IS...
Yossi Benayoun
Now you are wondering why Benayoun has been selected as the winner of POTS this season instead of Papaleo is the importance of his contributions this season, Benayoun did also break his personal best goal tally this season to get to 39 too and that is very impressive for a MC rather than a striker, Also Benayoun was the only player that was scoring goals when we had a mid-season dip that caused us to draw 4 games in 4 days and without Benayoun scoring we would of been losing a few games and probably would of been eliminated from the Cup too this season and also would of lost the chance at possibly going unbeaten this season until we lost against OTTOMANS, Benayoun scored goals on a consistent basis this season and looked more dangerous than ever as now he made his experience count.
Off The Pitch Performance/Token situation
July Fourth made a loss of 50M this season in cash and have a starting budget of around of around 650T for next season.
