How Great Managers Should Be Really Judged...

Let's face it anyone can buy/farm lots of tokens each and every season to make their team very strong and then become too strong for mediocre teams and more often than not win all the trophies...

July Fourth and many other teams have bought and farmed their way to success over 30 seasons and this proves no thing whatsoever. There is no real satisfaction in winning when your team is usually expected to win the League/CL/Cup each season.

But what about playing through each and every season just on the TV rights budget and never farming any extra booster packs, A lot of managers here already do this because they cannot farm due to regional restrictions and they will refuse or not choose to buy any tokens.

There would be only 2 ways to find out what you can do by playing on the strict TV rights budget with no booster farming.

1. A solo play through from Level 1 by creating a new team and playing each match to win and only tank in hugely undesirable and poor seasons or never tank at all.

2. Joining the http://forum.topeleven.com/top-eleve...rs-league.html and playing with other active forum members at the same time.

What do you think is the best way to judge a managers success. Should it only be based on limited resources?

I feel even 35T league is not the correct parameter to judge a manager.

There are too many loop holes in this game which can be easily exploited to win trophies. So there is no way to judge a manager.

There is no way to know whether a player will perform good or bad. Suppose 2 manager have only 1 token both buy a Striker of age 18 ( who have played o games )and one performs like a Boss while the other is a Dud...One is injury prone while the other never gets injured...etc etc etc...

So is there was anything the manager how bought the Dud Striker can do...The answer is a big NO...:)...

That means a lot of luck will also be involved in 35T a season too, like getting favourable league/cl/cup draws. Injuries, Troll Results, Auctions and bidding wars etc... It's how you deal with it as best as you can.

If you buy/farm hundreds and thousands of tokens it makes everything a whole lot easier for you. You can power train your team, Buy scouts and heal injured players often, on 35T a season... These things are not really available or are very, very limited.

What about the amount of time dedicated to the game...Its also a very big factor...

If your constantly visiting the transfer market you can find good players and can recruit them with less tokens...While who cannot dedicate much time to game they will tend to bid for players even if there no good options available.

Like me I am always online visiting transfer market regularly which helps me in recruiting good players with less tokens. Just like today I recruited a Nordeus Generated for only 2 tokens...

Yeah... You would have to be more active in building your squad and looking at the transfer market and also watching all your games live... Of course some can only play this game casually or they have real life commitments they must put first.

This....it happens with almost anything in life. Theres always a shortcut but I think those that don't spend money on the game and get far would enjoy the game more simply because they don't expect to win every single match and trophy. Like myself, I'm a newbie manager but im 16-1-0 at the moment and I love it because I didn't waste any money on the game and I beat a team of scouts and world class players. Just makes it more enjoyable in my opinion.

Yeah thats absolutely true! If you don't expect anything you won't be disappointed if it's not working and you'll be very happy if your successful :D

Can't, because everyone spread to many server and every server have different parameters (rival, auction activity, token farm availability)..

Only say, Play as 35T.. When you win something, it was really special, But you may wait every 5 to play in CL final, and I believe less people patient with that.. hehe

I think THE server give you always a competive Competition. i played also always with friends that where mutch stronger then me

The only way you could get close in this game to judging managerial success is if it provide true Custom Leagues. This would need to allow Token and cash transfer and disallow gifting and farming offers.

If I was Lord Nordeus and was interested in doing this I would allow existing players to buy a custom league place using either cash or resources from an existing team. Cash and token budgets were fixed duplicate teams awarded and off you go.

But as it wouldn't happen Iguess this counts as OFF TOPIC. So forget I said this. *runs*

There is an argument to be made for taking into account the amount of time dedicated to the game. And token farming takes time... Ergo, it is every bit as valuable a use of time as studying counter formations or opponents form/players/strategies.

I think anyone who has reached a level of 20 or above should be considered a top manager. It takes dedication to get that far. T11 will surely have thrown some cr*p at you by that point, so you must really have some commitment.

The true judgement of a player's skill, like any manager's game, is using the same sets of players for a set time. The thing about T11 is that with continuous supply of tokens, we can get players to come in at anytime. If there's injury then we sell the player and get a healthy one. If he doesn't perform, instead of dropping him and getting in a reserve, we go to the TM and bid for a better player.

This is what is different abt T11 compared to most respectable manager games - the transfer window, there is none.

Changing 22 players throughout the course of a month, good management?

Yes they should be given credit...Why not...After all they have the trophies which is a fact and cannot be denied...:)...

It takes lots a time to build a strong team even when you buy or farm tokens .

If you guys really want to be measured by your ability in managing a team without the authority of buying or even earn token,,,you could go and see KPL (Clone's Power League) in Indonesian Forum. No participants is allowed to buy token or transfer token from their main account (although it's impossible as your main team and your clone team must be in the same server to do that), in this competition the most lucky and good manager will win the competition (^_^)v

There are too many things to take in consideration.
Server, there are huge diferences between them, i know what i am tanking because of my teams being in diferent servers, totaly diferent markets in the same level.
Number of tokens available, but it all depends of what you can do with them and luck, because you can buy good player for 1T and spend 50T on a duck scout.
Draws in LEAGUE and CL, CUP is a diferent stairs, this also depend of your in game friends If the same level, this is a way to manipulate results, If you have similar Q friends you have tight leagues, but If you have weak friends, you have a weak LEAGUE.

I think that the Best way was playing the LEAGUE with Q cap., like the indonenian LEAGUE. That way other factors became more importants that quality, that is equal to all.

I think if you are questioning what makes someone a great manager on this game its time to step away from the computer screen.

What next? Operating more than one team? Posting thousands of times on a forum for the game? Making signature's for your teams and posting your "achievements" like some badge of honour?

It seems way too over the top and desperate. It's almost like a badge of honour to some that they have spent so long (and in some peoples cases so much money) on a game. It does look like it controls peoples lifes and they have used it to mould who they are as a person.

There is no such thing as great managers on this game. Anyone half competent can get promoted most seasons. Maybe missing the odd few seasons to build the squad up a bit, but over time getting higher up isn't a hard thing to do.

It's a fun time killer. It isn't something to be pondering questions over what makes someone a great manager or not. The game is too flawed that skill in management in relation to success is pretty much moot. I'd ask what makes a user so desperate to seek some sort of acceptance from others over a computer game.

That's just my opinion on it anyway.

IMO, the hardest thing on this game is getting treble on a 35T league.
Even retaining 35T league title is very hard too.
