Club in debt = Player not performing?

My team's on -2.69M

Before I got a mail saying that my balance is low, my team has destroyed my opponent 8-0.

Today, my team seems not to perform well despite having more poscession, my best players all getting 7 from 9. Players also got constantly booked in a match.

Is the finances affect the team's performances as well?

I really don't think the debt affects the players' performance, I think it is just a random match where players get low ratings.
Make sure you get out of the debt because after 1 week your best player gets sold/deleted-(I am not really sure about it)

You may have just got trolled, or your opponent set high win bonus or it could be many many things, you will never really know but finances I dont think so.

It should (with your better players fearing for their livelihoods) but I doubt it.

I ever have that experience on my FPL account too, my teams seems to struggle for a bit when I'm 3 days in the red
