Contract Extensions: When to renew?

What do you folks recommend when it comes to renewing players contracts, as far as the timing? The beginning of a season, or the end?

Renewing early gives you Max value in terms of getting your money's worth on the new deal. It sets your wage bill and keeps the signing bonus lower.

Renewing later means his training rate will be higher and playing for a new contract may help motivate the player. It keeps the wage bill lower but the signing bonus will be higher and you essentially lose a whole season under the renewal.

Thoughts?

I always renew at the beggining of New season.

For exemple all the contracts that end today, Will only be renew tomorrow.
The signing bonus is lower, and the extension of the contract is the same, If i sign today Will be 3 years, tomorrow Will be 2 years.

yep, renew on day 1 of the new season.
