2 teams in my league.. Zamo FC and Zardast FC, both surnames Ali and both from Egypt. They have each other as friends, Zamo FC's profile picture is Zardast FC's cover photo (lol) and I have a feeling they watch each other's matches for support as both make subs in every game. They played each other earlier in the week and unsurprisingly, it was fixed to be a draw (didn't watch, no subs made).
They have no idea who they are up against... Petersen is licking his lips for tomorrow's encounter with Zamo FC

Zamo FC resorted to a "park the bus" tactic in the 2nd half playing 3-3-3-1 formation and it was hard to break down. However Bogdany doubled our lead on 79 minutes sealing the win.

I don't normally do any previews for a game this early in a competition but this game has all the elements to be a cracker early on in the season, Sentepespor are group leaders with 2 wins with a 11-0 scoring record and where behind them also with 2 wins but with a 7-2 scoring record. July Fourth go into this game on a club record run of 28 straight wins in the Champions League and have not lost since against the hard fought encounter against Batigo United in L12, this is a record we would like to keep going but I feel that with playing away and a strong chance of opponent manager watching the game we may be happy to draw the game here and beat them at home on monday, These are still a threat to our chances of winning the Champions League this season because the strong likelyhood is both teams will qualify from the group and that would mean we would both play on opposite sides of the draw in the knockout stages so we could effectively meet again in the final.

Quite a sad day, Ravers 'legend' Simon Garner has left the club at 25 with a market value of 4.05m his quality was 5* 45 but with Kissi now reaching 43 and three years his younger, Shearer and Pardue (aka Pepp) in front of him; he was finding it hard to get games.
The club would like to thank Simon for his service and outstanding contribution to Ravers success over the last three seasons.
Club owner UJW was especially pleased with a rye smile on his face and a tear in his eyes as peeped at the clubs bank balance which gained 13.5m. :D

Finally 2 late goals came.... but 3 goals on 20 shots... :sigh:

Sentepespor FC 3-3 July Fourth Champions League Group D Round 3
A fair result in a evenly balanced game between the 1st of the 2 encounters between these 2 teams, but it could be disappointment or relief for our team in one sense, Sentepespor came out well to begin with looking for the early lead and missed 3 chances including a corner that Tony Adams managed to eventually clear, but it was July Fourth that took the lead on 19 minutes through in-form L.McNamara who seems to score in every game lately, after he stroke it hard past the keeper giving him no chance... Sentepespor continued to have chances but still could not find a way past Tony Adams and Novotny, Then Papaleo was given an chance on goal and beat his marker to get the shot into make it 2-0, However Montgomery got one back for the home team just before half-time, the second half begun and they got the equaliser immediately from Miserazzi, then both P.McNamara and Montgomery picked up yellows for some daft challenges, Vojacek took a shot from 25 metres and that gave Sentepespor the lead from being 2-0 down... but that was not it Papaleo missed a chance near the end and in the last minute substitute Robbie Savage's strike on goal grabbed us a late equaliser which ment we came away with the draw, which is what we would of taken at the start of the game, but this result ends our 28 match winning streak thats stretched over 2 seasons in the Champions League.
