No one really knows, but I'd guess at a SA giving you a 10% improvement on what you have. If that is the case then a 74 beats a 64 with SA.
I could be totally wrong, it may well be 25%, or it could be 5%, knowing this game it could mean absolutely nothing!! :D
Keep in mind that special ability like free o corner kick usually only work if defender same level o weaker, for example ur free kick specialist was 5 star so he scored against same o lower goalkeeper, if ur special now is 3 star but oponent deffender better o goalkeeper more stars than ur special the ability becomes quite useless
I have a scout free kick special, he good for 10_15 goles a season witj free kick but in cl and cup against 7 star goalkeeper nothing, all free kicks get saved...
Yes exactly, im level 9 now, many competitive teams n token buyer, free kick n corner less usefull if oponent has better quality than ur SA, and if u compete against token buyer they usually have superior star player than urs, that's why i always have a much better goalkeeper than my average quality squad cause a good goalie very important
Now I understand it well, and thank you all for your answers
Im a 35T casual player, I have a 18 years old 74 overall skill ST which means 5* for my team, both legs, should I loose 13-14 days to train him Free Kick? to loose 0,50 Star if i made the corect calculation. He got 7 skills in 2 days.
what should I do? Train free kick or not? he has 75 shooting and 74 crossing. I have only a 23 years old scout defender with aerial defender with 76 shooting and 76 crossing better then him with left foot.
SA are not useful...They hardly make any difference and cost a lot of skill points...It will be much better if you assign the skill points to his attributes rather than training him SA...
And if you Striker is good in scoring goals from free kicks he will score without the Free Kicks SA too...Further more you don't know how a players performance will be effected after training him the SA...
I had an MC how was scoring more than 1 goals per match, I trained him Playmaker SA and now he has only scored 3 goals in 13 matches...:)...
I find that not all players really play well with a SA.
For example I have two players in my squad that have free kick SA.
One of them has a ridiculously good record of scoring from free kicks - he's almost like a David Beckham clone with a dead ball. The other, well he needs like 10 attempts to get it in.
SA is ONLY useful when the player is already good at that role as it adds % to the current ability.
I believe it is a star's worth, so yes percentage wise it becomes less of an advantage in higher levels.
But then, as it can still be an advantage, it might be worth having even that little edge. :D
Before I fret about how much difference it makes I'd rather know what it makes a difference to...just a simply little useful tooltip edit would do.
It could be a star worth, but if it is then it is only useful for one level unless he maintains the star next season. But given that I have a CK taker who is always providing assists from corners (3 stars, Level 9 team & 5 star, Level 10 team), I like to think it's a %, coz then it would make sense.
But again, the point is that, someone who consistently misses penalties will not be an overnight PK specialist if you just slap a SA on him. So to a certain extent, I stress on "certain extent", the SA is cosmetic unless you create one yourself after gauging your player's ability without the SA.
I'd be more inclined to think its a constant +%age - devs seem to like that style of buffing because it gives a guaranteed minimum.
But no idea if that fits with T11 cos I don't know if there is any scaling taking place on 1* players relative to higher ones.
