Is there any merit in playing friendlies before competitive matches (assuming you have the kits to use)?
For example, any old wives tales about getting players In the Zone or getting bad performances out the way or other fanciful notions regarding fooling the trolls. ;)
I noticed few days ago that my league leader always plays a friendly before a league game so was wondering if anyone else does this?
There is a belief that to stop injuries it is best to stretch or do a little training within an hour or so of a game.
Maybe that person believes this, but instead of doing training decides that a friendly match, with a heavy rotation of players is better?
I have done the same before when I only had one game a day, as the extra bonus packs give me something extra too. I wouldn't do it if I had more than one competitive match a day however.
Its a belief that PLAYING PRACTICE MATCHES (not friendlies) increases you chance of your winning but there is no proof to it...But ASK THE DEVELOPERS is getting released next week and there is a question regarding this...Lets hope we will find the answer to this question then...Quote:

Yeah, its the number of games he's playing that gets me even with a full squad. He's still in all three comps - he's rotating partially but not completely each time. He played Cup game today with reserve squad. Then 2 friendlies with what looks like 1st team (couple of reserves) but subbed out 6 in 2nd match and has a league game in 2 hrs: 2 friendlies yesterday, 1 day before, 2 before that - so usually 2 but sometimes 1. Only 'pattern' I can see is if there's a big gap between competitive games he plays friendlies between otherwise its either before or after. Maybe he just thinks his team is indestructible atm and is heavy training them because he's still winning.
Just being nosey really and checking if there was a 'reason'.
He might be power training his team too. If he has invested in loads of Green packs, he may be training almost non stop with the team and replenishing them with packs. When I power train (almost always the first two or three games of the season, not mid way through it) I often arrange friendly games too to speed up the training.
Either way, sounds like he is investing serious time/money into the game. I find its best to let these types of players run away with it if they are determined to. No point in trying to out quality them on pride.
Yeah, it could be he's feeling the pressure and going for a boost.:p He's bought 5 players in the last hour or so after friendlies but this is only today - maybe he was boosting players for sale but....just doesn't seem to make sense to me.
Anyroadup, I'll tell accept that there are no 'performance' tricks and its all about training: whether its for sale or boosting or sudden onset of madness. ;)

Lol. Maybe he reads the Forum and didn't like something I said because in my league match up he popped supporting my opposition.
