Official TE wiki states that some SA require certain roles and in fact in game you can't choose to train let's say one-on-one scorer on a midfielder. However in the marker I sometimes see strikers with dribbler ability or defenders with playmaker (seeing one right now). So how is that possible?
Certain SAs are not for every position, but some are available for players you would not expect. Also if you are looking at training someone to have a SA, don't do it! It is a waste of skill points
You didn't understand me. The game does not allow to train a defender to be a playmaker but in the marker I'm seeing s defender playmaker right now. So how did the other guy who's selling the defender got th playmaker SA for him?
Does it have a second role? If not post a pic.
Its wrong, if u have a dl or dr they can learn playmaker special ability, if u have a dc he can'tQuote:

Anyway I tested to see if starting a DMC on a DC meant Playmaker becomes available and as expected it doesn't (and its probably only me that wondered, cos you all knew :p) so.....back to RJSlow's theory and wait for NorGens ;)
I've seen a pure ST with the "Shadow Striker" ability in the transfer market. I wanted to buy him, but I didn't have the cash at the time :'(
I think shadow striker should be for amc aml amr or even dmc. these are the guys if u read the game comments that someone hits one from 30 meter ha, i think waste on a striker as they in the area for score....Quote:

When looking at players that can have certain SAs, players with multiple positions give them more SAs they can have. So when experimenting with what is allowed, make sure the player has only 1 position
Exactly. Once he has learned a new Role, other Special Abilities become available.
And like Dman said, you can get weird SA players, they were generated with them... if they are too "off" from their primary skill set, they can be pretty useless.
