I'm in level 2 and I found the perfect way to organize my squad, but I really need a new AMC player because I don't have one. Because of that, today I logged in early (7:58 GMT+2 Jerusalem time) and found an auction. Unfortunately, I only had two tokens and they were wasted. What should I do next time?
Bro, try to farm tokens...If there are some offer in Jerusalem...
And do not ever JUMP into an auction with only 2 Tokens...:)...

With low tokens, dont go for players with 18 or 19 years old.
Dont go for player that are near the next star.
If the is already someone that bid on that player, forget and move on, because that mean you need at least 2 tokens to get that player.
Wait until the last 30 seconds to see If someone else bids, then bid in the last 20 seconds and not in the last ones, because that way people that were waiting for the last seconds to bid, might give up.
If a bid war starts check your opponents If they seem token buyer, forget the token, If they are similar to you, try to bid until ROUND 2 or 3, If no one give up, it is probably time for you to give up and minimize your lost.
Already doing 1st and 2nd case. Also, there seems to be a bid on literally ANY player: no one gives a damn whether the player is 21 o 27, whether he's 2SP or 2* from scout...Quote:

It depends a lot of the servers.
For exemple in one of my teams in the last 3 seasons, i have manage to bought 5* players on the 1st day of the season for 1T, because there arent any bid wars. But on day 2 they start and get worst on day 3.
This season i even manage to buy a 19 years old Freekick specialist with 1 token on day one.
It seems that now everybody are afraid to bid on day one, so there is no one on the auction.
Also, some people just seem to lose their minds when they open the market. SAs seem to draw bids like crap does flies.
I bid on a ST valued nearly 7m, 38Q being sold by Piggy FC to see if others flocked to it - just wanted the reminder to go look as I expected some bids even this late in the season. Nope, they were too busy throwing tokens at SA players and I won the damn player.

All the advice given in this thread is really helpful, and I would add only this: observe the market. Even if you're not interested in a particular player, just observe the auction to see how many tokens were spent, how many bidders took part in the auction, what quality and age was that player etc. This could help you find what time the auctions are the least crowded and how many tokens you should have in your pocket to stand a chance. In my market, the best time to go shopping is Sunday, about 1-3 pm GMC, which is kind of surprising for me.
Same here for lvl 1 and 2. Now on lvl 3 everyhting changed. Also been doing the same like you suggest. I already know about 20 players on my server who are not my friends just from the market. Know who's a token buye, know who's an annoying token buyer, sometimes I just see and go like "oh, this guy again" ;)Quote:

The age thing for me is then not about current training rate this season, since its about to hit the next star and the rate will slow (and I don't power train). Yeah I have one 'that guy' on my server, maybe he's the same person :) He is a token millionaire and I was so curious who he was that checked his profile on facebook. Well, he is not a bot, just a normal person and quite liekable in fact.
