I don't know what's wrong, but I still think this happens in real life so I guess we just have to live with it :S
Yep, i think it happenes less than it should happen in Topeleven.. i've had 41 undefeat games in a row with 40 W and 1D, today i lost and i was like..this is a good lesson to sit back and look at what was wrong in there and how could i make things work better :D
I do realise the game is simply enough but i have another theory of how we should train our players to get the best results and soon i'll post stuff about it, once i test it and find out if thats how it works by myself :D..
Haha is basiclly adding some tactics from the real game mostlly in the midfield and attack. What i'm going to do is train 3 of my middlefiers in a different way and and also two ST in completly different way and see if this gives results.
One of the MC(in the middle) should be a playmaker trained with 2/3 of the SP in phy & mental as he should be very creative, building up the game and 1/3 in attack skills. MC on the left side should be a dribler, verry offensive as he should be helping the Strikers but also be able to score so i would play him with red Arrow & 2/3 SP in attack & 1/3 in phy/mental.
3rd MC on the left should be defending MC, playing like DMC in most of the situtations, i would be playing him with Blue Arrow & distributing 2/3 of the SP in defence & 1/3 in Phy & Mental.
Abbout my Strikers, on the left i would have the scorer with 2/3 SP in attack & 1/3 Phy & mental and One on One Scorer special abbility, on the right the 2nd ST with 2/3 in phy/mental & 1/3 attacking skills playing as shadow striker with Blue Arrow.
Please note that this tactics is fine if you used flat formations like 3/5/2 or any other formation with 3 MC & 2 ST.
Im curentlly testing this out as i believe my MC players are usually playing in the Whole MC zone and not only left/right and central MC as on the set up. So i really wanted to use something from the real game and see if it works in topeleven aswell.
A thing to bear in mind is this is a simulation and it seems to work on the principle of a 'player event' = using a skill set. That's basicly all players use there P&M skill set and choose from either Def or Att each time.
The effect of this can be seen in particular with arrows.......if you put a blue arrow on a player you're encouraging him to be more Phys& Mental and More Def.......so if its an MC and he has low def its 'not optimal'. Same for red arrows....if you put a red arrow on a DR because ypou want him to link and pass down the flank but he's all def statted then its not optimal either.
So all players should have good physical stats imo. ;)
Yep indeed They would be having high enough Phy & Ment anyway.
Thats what i meant to do:
MC(playmaker) Def:37 / att:40 / phy&ment 43
MC (defending) Def:43 / att:37 / phy&ment 40
MC (Attacking) Def:37 / att:43 / phy&ment 40
As average skill points. Ofc i'll keep training every skill but keep a small difference between Def/Att/Phy&Ment depending on what i want the single player to do.
Yep, as long as you bear in mind that 'Creativity' in the P&M is about creative 'skill selection' ie a player with a good creativity score is more likely to pass when passing is the best option whereas with a lower score he might dribble instead, when passing was the better choice. Hope I've explained that well enough.
(I'd also been thinking about how you could make a good 'hold the ball up' lone striker - but finding one that favoured Handling as a defensive skill and investing in it is a big commitment for a test. XD)
Eventually I intended writing some stuff up in my Showcase as an Interview with Buffs Mad - whether I do it or not is another matter.
Looking forward to a read at yours.
