While reading your post i noticed you saying that his defesive skills are higer than attacking skills, this is a way to get attacking player trying to score w/o passing the ball xD Higer handling would mean that the can control the ball better and go all the way alone then score xD
Ofc you would need attacking skills there too but strikers with attacking skills are most likely passing the ball to another guy and not scoring

Thinking what you said, you're right.
and yea my ST is more likely to pass than shoot.. he scores many goals but mostly assisted not his own making.
