What tools do you use?

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I made myself an Excel document to keep track of skill points:

Just some basic math, but it sure beats doing the math every time you add skill points to a player.

I also use two custom solutions. One I've shared here, T11Formation.py. The other is a simple DateTime / TimeSpan calculator I wrote in C# which I use to calculate the stamina gain between now and my next scheduled match.

So I am rather curious what tools you use to aid in playing T11? I would bet a lot of you out there use Excel in some fashion or another. I have already seen some Excel screenshots around this forum.

I use Python and Pearl to help me in TOP Eleven calculations...;)...

I am 53 years old and i use a spade:-( Am i too old to learn all this stuff?

I use my brain and ma patience.

I use a notebook and a pencil!! :)

But spreadsheets etc. are much easier, for sure. :D

I wish wiring up a "numeric up down" (or "spinner") form button was a bit easier. That'd be pretty nice since it'd only be mouse clicks.

Plus, I like making numbers look pretty. I think that's my in database guru coming out. (Eek! I hate database, lol)

So you know Hadoop then you should be dealing in Millions...:D...

I use a spreadsheet to break down average form by position. Does your DC have an average form of 8 at LDC, but only 7 at CDC and RDC? Wish the game did this for you.

Do you actually see a difference in results? In my experience, as long as the player usually gets a 7 or better he won't negatively affect the result. However, I do have a DMC/DMR who only seems to play well in MR... wth.

Suit yourself. Thanks to my very simple Excel document I figured out that the team rating is an average of the player levels, not an average of all spent skill points. Thanks to that simple revelation I beat a tough league opponent by a wide margin because my training was more effective.

I have some players whose average form is different by about 1, but this is with a limited number of data points. I need to be patient and collect more before drawing any conclusions.

My spreadsheet also breaks it down by type of game (Leauge, CL, Cup). It appears as if some players perform 1-2 form points better in one type of game over the others. This is not just due to lower skill levels in league games. Some prefer cup or CL. Although this is more easily observed because the game does show us the last several forms broken into game type.

Yes, unfortunately. The columns I update are "D, A, P" which relates to the three areas in which you can add skill points. The other columns are calculated.

I built a website to do it for me, and to help others out :cool:

I started it in excel aswell then coded it in php

Just putting the finishing touches on another calculator that works out how far you can train your players but still let them fully recover before the next match. All the coding is done, just need to make the input side 'pretty' then ill make it live aswell

I'd like something like x² + 1.2 * s - a, where x is buying value, s is skill level, and a is age.

Can you help me please ? I play top eleven from 20.9.2013 to 25.9.2014 how can i contunue with the game ? Thank you !

There can't be any formula because players value differs according to their Training Speed...:(...

Am I the only one that use a magic 8 ball? Only at lvl 2 but it have worked great so far :D

I speculate it might be a sum of two terms.

One term is the player's current playing ability which would factor in quality.

The other term is the player's potential or possible future playing ability. This part would factor in the player's age, quality, and a training speed multiplier that would range from 0-3.0. Have you seen a training speed faster than three times an average trainer?

If you plot the quality and market value of 34 year olds (this would hold age constant and possibly remove the potential quality term), you may be able to fit a line to the curve and come up with an equation.

Close, but I was not practical enough during undergraduate to be an engineer. :) I chose to study the impractical engineering that is physics. Thanks for the kind words.

This is the part of these games that I love. I like to try to figure out how the game engine works and then maximize performance. The sports angle just adds to the fun; even when it is a sport about which I know nothing. I need to start asking more questions on the tactics and formations board. :)

now you can not only check a single players quality, but your whole team. it will give you a unique team id that will reload your team each time you visit the site!

also there's a team training calculator which tells you how low you can train your team but still let them fully recover before the next match..

I use excel but just to know the average aspect of my team like age, skills, who needs to be changed... I should add a column that tells me how far I am from the next level and star.
