Another victory to my account. And YES, the "B" team was kept from the start. Also, the wonder substitute as Smith comes in and scores right away.
But SO MANY MISSED SHOTS, OMG!! Insane, the number of attempts that I got that were either wide or stopped (by a 2star goalkeeper as well). So annoying.
So what I can say is that: "started from the bottom now we here!" Former n°1 messed up his two last matches and I managed to steal his seat.
Tomorrow is THE MATCH!! If I get a win, I'm almost garanteed to win the season. It's all in. Either I put myself in a comfortable position or I head back second. This will be stressfull!
Champions League: Buffs lose 2-1 at home in the 1st leg of the semi-final after fighting and scrapping for every ball.
The Canadian visitors were lined up, as expected, in 4-3W-1-2 so the Buffs prepared with a defensive counterattacking 4-5-1V.
Buffs enjoyed a good spell in the first 10 mins with a chance for Denis Law which was deflected. Two corners were then controlled by the GK and defence. The Buffs were holding the ball well for the first 30 mins until the visitors increased the pace. They carved out 3 good chances but the Buffs' Defence stood firm. Unfortunately, that pressure did draw another corner kick and Ivanovic nodded in a Torres corner to give the Canadians a 1-0 HT lead.
Attachment 29531
After a rousing HT talk the Buffs came out all guns blazing in the second half and it paid dividends. In 45 mins Baxter skinned Ivanovic and hit the line to cross. Law sprinted for the front post but was closely double marked by the defence. However, the cross sailed over them all and midget gem Johnstone stole i at the back and rifled it home. Possession swung back n forth as either side tried to exert control but it was i the balance. Law missed a goot chance after 60 mins so Buffs Mad brought on McCoist to give the Lawman a well deserved rest - he had worked hard but it wasn't his day. McCoist then hit the side netting on the 70th minute. However, it was the anadian side that found joy on the counter-attack late on when Torress almost burst a lung to rip through the Buffs defence and cooly finish for a 2-1 lead. Straight from the restart Baxter tried his luck from distance but it was deflected past and again the corner was repelled. Buffs Mad could however sense frustration from the visiting manager as he made the change to 4-3W-3. It was almost the mistake the Buffs needed as the game one of constant pressure from the Buffs. McCoist was both Saint and sinner as he carved out his own chance with a sublime solo dribble, but a last ditch tackle folied him and another defender picked up the ball. But....a mistake and McCoist was on it like a Tramp on a bag of chips and fired a snap-shot goalwards....omly to see the visiting GK save it.
That was that. A 2-1 home defeat.
Attachment 29530
Afterwards Buffs Mad said "We fought bravely and played out of our skins. The Canadians can now go hme, relax and ref;ect on a win that will see them in the Final" and walked away before turning once more and bellowing "and then we will go there and rip their heart out, deep fry it and wash it down with a nice bottle of White Lightning. This is not over!"
Only 1-0 in CL but is better then nothing, no? :))
Galactico FC update:
The Galacticos manager knew he will be missing two key games today due to real life commitments and so hope that the team will still perform despite his absence from the touchline.
League: The Galacticos faced a difficult team that is 5th in the league looking to gain maximum points and do the double over them. Opponent lined up a tricky 4-1-2-1-2 narrow diamond and again the Galacticos deployed 4-1-3N-2 to counter and again it proved like a decent counter formation as they triumphed 2-0 with goals (By the usual suspects) MC Enasoaie 51` and ST Meftouh 67' with DMC Goku getting injured right before the final whistle.
The next game is a crucial game against 4th who is a difficult opponent after a 1-1 draw earlier in the season, the Galacticos hope that home advantage will play a key part in the swing of the tie. As well as home matches against 1st and 3rd coming up thick and fast
Champions League: The Galacticos manager absolutely did not want to miss this fixture but unfortunately he did. However, the couch somehow managed to find the time between the league and CL buffer time to change team formation, personnel, restore condition and ensure full morale as well as win bonus to be best prepared for this semi-final. The opponent lined up 3W-5-2 and the Galacticos decided to go 4-5-1V style. If the manager was at the game, he would of proceeded with 3-1-4-2 but it was a risky formation to use if he was absent so decided with the 4-5-1V in the end.
The manager now looks back on the game and decided how he SHOULD have been there as the game panned out to a 1-1 away draw. Nordeus game engine decides to TROLL and injures the GOALKEEPER (WHY GK?!) Which was a position that the Galacticos will be the weakest getting a replacement for.. (Really Nordeus you serious?) OUT OF ALL POSITIONS A GK?
GK Brizuela was injured on the 19th minute and replaced by out of sorts and low moral GK Buffon who was out of form, out of morale, out of fitness and most importantly not prepared to play at a match of this magnitude. This weakness showed as the opponent scored right before half time to take the lead of the tie. The Galacticos tried to rally and get a reply with a huff and puff effort and brought out a yellow card on the opponents MC. There was a great opportunity for the Galacticos to level the tie as they got a penalty on the 79th minute and Meftouh again steps up and takes the sho..... AND MISSED ....... =.=
All hopes of a crucial away goal was lost until the 90th minute and injury time when MR Milovanovic somehow scored and preserved dignity on the scoreline and got the CRUCIAL away goal (He deserves a medal now) assisted by MC Enasoaie (Most likely a corner) and gives the Galacticos an advantage going to the second leg at home knowing a clean sheet means a route to the final.
The Galacticos manager is giving Meftouh the hairdryer treatment despite his early season scoring antics and will now change penalty kick takers again.
Academy FC had a solid weekend!
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Friday, AFC played at Tran FC in the 2nd leg of CL Quarterfinals. In a relatively boring match, Academy FC won 2-1 with goals in the 35th and 66th minute.
This morning, AFC (31.1*) hosted Capella FC (24.5*). I was unable to attend the game as I was in a meeting at work (luckily, the other manager was not present either) and AFC came away with a 2-0 victory! Goals from Elkayam (2) and Genest (70) sealed the victory; the second leg will be played tomorrow morning (1:31 AM!!!!)
LEAGUE: On Saturday, AFC (T-4th) played at Rogerio FC (28.3*, 6th place). AFC took an early lead when Ferreri scored in the 2nd minute. Rogerio FC's Salas scored in the 7th minute to tie the match and that's how the game ended.
Yesterday, AFC hosted Gonzales FC (19.1*, 13th place). Ferreri once again scored early (18) and then assited a goal in the 63rd. Aside from one injury suffered by one of my MCs, the game was slow and boring.
As the table sits now, AFC is in 5th place, 6 points behind 1st, and only 3 points out of third with one game in hand on all teams in front of them. This afternoon, AFC plays at 11th place Caja FC, and a win by 2 goals or more will seat them in 3rd (current 3rd place team has 3 more points and a GD of 27 compared to my 25). Later this evening, AFC hosts the 4th place team (unknown name), who has lost 4 of their last 5.
League: Buffs FC were off to Nandos today. *nom nom* :D DC McNeill was suspended for 1 match so in came Alan Hansen.
They filleted, diced and roasted Nandos FC in a 6-0 triumph.
Goals: Bremner (45), McCoist (46, 58), Gough (67), Baxter (70), Gemmill (81).
Highlights: (steals Alfyan's template ;) ) CK Specialist Archie Gemmill picks up another booking and will be out of the home tie with the Leagues Leaders.
News Flash: Just in!
League Leaders KayCee FC are beaten 2-1 at home by Fenerbahce SK. Buffs FC now remain 3rd on goal difference from Chelsea in 2nd with KayCee's lead cut to 2 pts.
Buffs Mad said "pmsl"
EDIT: Buffs FC have now collected 35 yellow cards this Season - might have 1 suspension each game until the end now >.<
how ironic, i`m leading the league by 3 points and have a tough run in against 4th 5th 6th and 7th in that order lol and last game is against 10th, now i am promoted and with luck i`l stay in level 21 league for 3rd season in a row as i`m level 20 and not jump to level 22
First off all, i wanna say, this game was really disappointing to me..
Why i sad that? Because, i play other football manager and is totaly different than this and better.
I expected in this game only draw, but noo i ''lost'' 3-0 again this one.
If you not big token buyer or crazy cheating bustard you can won or won the title in this game...

he and i have 115.6
In this game is something wrong...
it comes down too formation and tactics, i`m neither a token buyer or cheating xxxxx and i`m leading my league but what remarkable about that you my ask, well i`m a level 20 team in a level 21 league for 2nd season running and i can`t buy level 21 player`s only level 20
CL Semi Final 1st leg away: 0-1 win. I had enough chances to score more than once, hopefully my lack of efficiency today won't be punished.
11 points clear, 0-1 away win over AC KINKY today, will face 4th place K-Link at home tomorrow, equal in Qty, but unequal in management as he doesn't watch his games or change his formation.
Once I'm done with him, it's going to take a minor miracle to lose this title.

P.S. Counting chickens before they hatch is a bad habit of mine.
Hardy Plays 500th Match
Ivor Hardy has become the latest player to join the 500 appearance club and he is the 8th player for July Fourth to reach this landmark and joins Miku, Petersen, Papaleo III, Watson, Kusama, Regal & Benayoun.
He is retiring at the end of the season.

As I start to use every sort of formation I can, to counter an infinite variety of opponents formations, standard and Cuckoo ones, I am using Narrow Diamond less and less.
As my opponent get better so must I, thus keeping any sort of favorite formation is just stubbornness or fear on my part. But I must admit I like to see Narrow Diamond do it's thing!
It's like watching a wrecking ball slam again and again against the opponents goalkeeper, a sight to see. relentless!

The fourth place team manage to score one back late in the game, as I eased off the hard tackling in hope "no card/red pack", which I obtained.
P.S. One advantage to a guaranteed 15% possession advantage home or away is, other then kicking their butts when both team are almost exactly equal, MY POSSE! ThanX! is that you can set the price of tickets high for revenue (outta of CUP/CL:mad:), and not worry about the 2% possession you lose in the stadium.
Money!

DAS song!!! Damn that was groovy :D
Reminded me of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOYVpfCnt3I
Anyway, I'm first in the competition, won the half finals 1-1 home, 4-1 away, the half finals for the CL the first one at home 4-1 and I'm first at the league with 7 points difference, I think I'm gonna realise my goal to win all three prizes :D
won 3-1 away to make that 8 wins and 1 lost ( shock defeat ) in the 2nd half of the season meaning i remain leader`s with 4 games too go and with results going my way i`m 6pts clear of second and 9pts clear off 5th so just need 1 win for Champions league spot in the remaining games but won`t be easy as i have 3rd 5th 7th and 8th to play in that order.
Who says level 20 can`t kick ass in a level 21 league :)
Just kiddin' already.
He's not goin' to take your advice, I bet.
I'm very grateful for your advice. :D And don't take this the wrong way but.....
I don't ask and didn't ask for advice for a reason. If I did that what would be left for me to do?
I post my formations and the opponents so that, if ppl want to consider, as you have done, what they think was good are bad about it, then they can.
But Philip is right in a way - I will try to do my own thing (which may or may not be what you suggest :D) and I'll try to learn from it. ;)
But when ppl do offer advice I appreciate their good intentions. ;)
See, I told you.

Cup Semi: Midas McGonnigal was strangely absent for the match and star-man Thomson was injured in 40 mins and not replaced, but 10 man Celtic Rangers still managed to grind out a 1-0 away victory to progress to the Cup Final 3-1 on aggregate.
Goals: Turner, MC (57).
Now Midas must get the medics on Thomson for this evening's game against second place, to help maintain the 5pt gap they have now opened up. (The stubborn ass is still resisting dipping into the transfer market for striker cover with so many contracts up for renewal in Season 4. ;)
EDIT:
Top Table Clash
Celtic Rangers lose by 1 goal at home to Lausanne FC in a 7 goal thriller. CR's lead is cut to 2pts.
Lost again, in derby game 2-0, better than last game.
i'm now 6th.. bad season for me..
i switch formation to jose mourinho 4-2-3-1 and will see, how to that is work..
I prefer 3-5-2 from conte, blazevic and van gaal, but i can't play cuz don't have players for this formation, cuz' i can't SELL players!! two weeks ago and still can't sell the players... why?
Today i lost, so it take one day longer to be champion. what i hope to be this season but you never know what THE game engine has in mind for me.

Well after yesterday's unexpected defeat now need concentrate more to finish 2nd,but still possible, Its close to the 5th too, but about that im not worried. Now rest n prepare for tomorrows game vs the 6th,and the 2nd leg of cl, hopefully can maintain my lead after 1st leg to reach the final ;) http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...4a3550db3a.jpg
And yet an other victory! And an important one setting me 1st with 4pts ahead of the second one. My team played superbly. Defense stayed strong and goalkeeper was amazing. Cantareil, my best striker, started things of with a goal on the 3rd minute. Second goal from Smith, very nice!
Let's continue with tomorrow's match. Last time I played them, we drew, even though I clearly had the upper hand, it was weird. Hope it goes better this time!
LEAGUE UPDATE!
Academy FC won their league match at Caja FC yesterday afternoon, 4-1. An early injury to DMC Tholen didn't slow down AFC, as Martins and Lorenz both scored twice. Caja scored a consolation goal in the 62nd minute, but there was too much to overcome.
Later in the day, AFC hosted (Team Unknown). AFC conceded an early goal (2'), but equalized on a free-kick in the 4th minute. The opponent's MC was red carded in the 9th minute (second yellow; first gave AFC the free-kick they scored on). AFC was able to capitalize on the man advantage when Niyokindi scored his second goal of the game in the 22nd minute . . . but the opponent equalized before half. After three second half subs, AFC was able to take the lead for good in the 78th minute.
The two league wins move AFC all the way up to 2nd place; they are 3 points behind 1st, one point ahead of 3rd, 2 points ahead of 4th, and 5 points clear of 5th. All teams are even on matches played. AFC plays 8th (27.5*), 9th (23.7*), 10th (24.1*), and 3rd (32.7*) in the remaining fixtures. First place Onimod FC plays 14th, 12th, 6th, and 4th in their remaining fixtures. Could be a close race!
League: 3-0 win against the 2nd. 9 points ahead of the 2nd and 10 points ahead of the 3rd, tomorrow I'm playing against a weak abandoned team. It's safe to say that I got my 9th consecutive title! :D
League: Buffs had one crazy home game against the leaders tonight. Engine trolled Buffs then Buffs trolled the opponent then the trolls trolled the trolls and everyone had a love-in on the centre spot as Buffs run out 3-2 victors.
So let's get the Admin out of the way. The visitors swaggered onto the pitch in a ND. With the Buffs minus their key midfielder they went for midfield strength and defiantly formed into 4-1-3N-2.
Now.
How can I describe the start of the match.
Buffs have 3 good chances in the first 5 minutes but squander them. "Nevermind, we're doing well, we'll get more" thought Buffs Mad. Up the other end on 5 mins Gemmell tugs a shirt and is booked - FK to the visitors and McGregor saves. Corner and McGergor tips header over the bar. Corner and defence clears. Counterattack by the visitors and a shot is deflected for a corner. Its the 9th min and cross comes in and MC Murdoch pushes in the box > yellow card, penalty kick, visitors score = 1-0 down :( 16th minute Buffs MC Murdoch fouls on the edge of the box, second yellow and he's off. FK, McGregor saves. So down to 10 men abd Buffs Mad decides to stay in the 4-1-2-2 and prays for the 10 man boost........
*boooooost*
- 32nd min McCoist counterattacks and scores with a solo run through the middle = all square.
*booooooost*
- 37th minute McCoist plays a neat 1-2 on the edge of the box then fires home = 2-1 to the Buffs.
Half time comes and goes with Buffs Mad too stunned to do anything.
*booooooost*
- On 67 minutes McCoist is felled on the left and gets up to take the FK. Gemmell nods it home. 3-1 to the 10 men Buffs.
Buffs Mad at last blinked and whispered to Assistant Coach, Otto Teem "Just who's trolling who here?"
The visitors then switch to 4-1-2N-3 on 73 minutes. Buffs Mad says "Feck it, lets lay our hopes at the feet of the Gods." And the Gods then duly take the legs from the visiting DMC and he's stretchered off. On 85 mins they got a sub on but we've no idea where he played because it was a flurry of activity as the Buffs squeezed the visitors and applied the pressure. Then the visitors counter attack again, and then the Thugs, I mean the Buffs upended the attacker and McNeill went in the book. As everyone looked around the linesman flagged - Penalty! Bloody hell - 3-2 to the Buffs. After the restart......the ref blew. *phew*
Stupid game. Stupid Engine. Stupid win that takes us top. \o/ Stupid Bliss. :D Stupid Buffs Mad. Stupid Genius. ;)
Goals: McCoist (32, 37), Gemmell (67).
Bookings: Gemmell (5), Murdoch (9 + 16 = OFF), McNeill (89).
The Buffs now have 2 players suspended for tomorrows league match and 6 players on 1 yellow. O.o
After the match Buffs Mad said "I is troll."
A late Galactico FC Update:
League: Todays league match features 2nd placed Galactico FC pitched against Tariq FC (4th in the league) at home in another so called (6 more Cup finals match to show the importance of the games in the run-up to the title) maximum points is required as the Galacticos slipped to 3rd at the time of the game as both 1st and 3rd won their respective games (Sigh, looks like I got to do this the hard way).
The Galacticos manager knew it was an important game to pick up maximum points against a difficult opponent which they drew 1-1 with earlier in the season. The Galacticos lined up 4-5-1V against the opponent 4-3N-1-2 with man to man marking as the game kicked off with the Galacticos in possession.
Possession swiftly turned into goals as the Galacticos scored two goals in short succession to go up 2-0 before HT. The Galacticos made it 3-0 during the second half and the game reached its conclusion with a much expected but delighted 3 points with the MEGA match against 1st tomorrow.
You think that game against 8th was the revenge the manager wanted? Oh no, THIS IS IT! The one I was looking forward to all that time ago since I lost at home 2-0 against the leader (Two fingerz) REVENGE TIME!
Goals: ST Meftouh 20' 29' | AMR Bouwmans 54'
Highlights: MC Enasoaie - Yellow card 80'
Cup: The Galacticos look to reach their 2nd ever cup final with a match against powerful opponent FK Sport machine, but with the Galacticos holding a 2-0 advantage first leg. The manager knew an away goal would settle this tie depending on how the Galacticos would defend. Opponent lined up with a ND and so the 4-1-3N-2 was deployed as it is so effective against the ND (As Buffs FC also proved against the leader in his league) and the Galacticos also leaked out the plan to his fans that the 4-1-3N-2 will also be deployed against the leader tomorrow if they stick with the ND as they have done all season long.
The game got off to a tight start as the opponent and myself had two friends supporting our matches but the opponent gained the possession upper hand throughout the first 20 mins, the Galacticos repelled their attack and tried to make things happen and dirty tactics by the opponent brought out a few fouls, however it was the opponent who went through on goal and luckily their player missed a on goal chance much to the relief of the Galacticos manager. However, they went on through again and took the lead going into half time to unsettle the Galacticos and their manager, tactical changes were made during half-time, with zonal marking being instructed to the Galacticos players as opposed to the man on man they were working with previously, the tactical changes made by the Galacticos manager has been quite successful lately (Maybe shows the genius of this manager ;D idk lol) as they hit back with two goals by Lier in the space of 15 mins to settle the tie. The opponent went through changes to match the Galacticos 4-1-3N-2 formation after conceding an equalizer, but they then conceded again in this formation and the opposition manager decided to revert back to the ND with absolutely no answer to the Galacticos defence spearheaded by DC Fondyke but made no subs during this change (Weird huh?) and the Galacticos held on to a remarkable victory and a place in the cup final.
Goals: Lier 61' 76'
Highlights: Kosmala first game return from injury (Appearance as sub 73')
The opponent in the way between the Galacticos and cup glory is this Polish girl team who the Galacticos manager correctly identified in the beginning of this cup competition as the team they wanted to avoid. The opposition somehow managed to reach the final even though they always seem to lose the first leg and then get through with a result on the 2nd leg. The Galacticos manager feels like they will be destined to win this trophy but as always, they will give it their all.
Now the Galacticos have set their sights on two matches tomorrow (League against 1st and CL semi-final poised at 1-1 all to play for)
Champione champione without playing today 😂😂 nr 2&3 lose so they can only come at Same points what never happen also if that happen my goals ahead is too much i think ☺️

Palaiseau FC qualified for champion league final, it was the 7th final of the club and the 1st time after 6 seasons. we have never lost a champion league final. hope for this one was the same as the 6 precedent although the opponent is far better than us
