What is the point of renewing contracts!!

I have 4 players whose contracts are up at the end of the season.
I have looked at all the threads saying wait until next season, cheaper and wages will be lower etc etc
But what is the point???

They are all fast trainers as they are on tiny wages, but are only 3 or 4 stars. By the start of next year they will lose a star and become slow trainers as there wages are going to be significantly higher ( and value decreased by 10% or so)
I will never get them back to 4 or 5 stars so they will get left behind!

Am I over reacting?? They all score 6,7,8 in matches and have been good players but should. I sell NOW??

the point of waiting for start of season is they will go on 3 yr contract if you re-new just before then when season starts they are 2 yr contract and with saving money on contract it only works if they have skill point`s saved as when renewed ( depending what level) their value drops meaning you pay 10% of value then when add skill their value goes back up

I'm trying to say whole time that there is no reason to extend contract if you will not keep this player at your squad.
I extend contract only for players that will play for my club next season.
If you don't sell them now, you'll have to pay for contract renewal and next season his value will decrease. Then you'll need luck on transfermarket with token war in order get back money.

Exactly my point!
New contract higher wages, lower value, slower training and I will struggle to get back the star lost when new season starts so back to 2 or 3 star players!!
