I find that my teams results don't improve when I am watching. If anything one or two of them have been better when I didn't watch.
I have kept an eye on it and it doesn't matter if I am watching a game where I make no changes or not.
The possession boosts don't seem to count for much, even if teams only have 20% possessin they still make as many chances. I've said it befor that this game seems to be more about random variables then quality management.
the only thing you truly get from watching match is a blue booster and a green pack for making sub but this does not happen if injury and auto sub comes on if you are not watching

I'm not angry, it just sort of makes you wonder if there is any real logic to the game . . Bad results happen to all teams, but there are things in this game that don't really measure up with real life or even with other simulated manager games.
I lost yesterday to a 4* team with 2 4* def against my 7* & 6* strikers and I watched the game and he did not:mad:Quote:

You can compare results against similar quality teams. Drew 1-1 with a team in a game I watched, and beat a similar quality team 9-0 day before in game I didn't watch. Also find that the games I wat watch finish low scoring and games I don't watch finish much higher.Quote:

I believe you should give yourself as much advantage as possible, but its not a do X + Y = win. Its a simulation. And there are patterns, patterns everywhere.....

Similar quality doesn't mean their form and tactics is the same... I watch games to change formations, tactics and attitude if necessary... Sometimes it works (today I won a game vs. 12 stars stronger team), sometimes it doesn't (yesterday I lost a game vs. a team who plays 2 levels bellow). I watched both games...Quote:

As I said I'm not angry and some people seem to be very sensitive to any sort of criticism of the game. It's just a bit of fun, but it's a shame there are so many random results and performances that are little to do with supposed quality players or possession.
This is the best stance to have on this game. It's as you said extremely unrealistic so it's best just to accept from the start that a lot of it is down to random luck.Quote:

I totally agree. Boosters seem to be the only benefit of watching games.
If a manager is not watching his game and one of his players gets injured, then in the most cases suddenly all his mates become superfast and superefficient and in the end I lose even having up to 30% higher ball possession.
This is not always the case so it's yet another variable that can't be taken for granted.
yeahh noticing same thing too .. always get stupid AI surprises when watching
I've gone back and forth over this. I know I have won some matches by being there and making changes... but.. sometimes I think my defensive style of play doesn't require the possession, and I win games not being there if I have set up my Team correctly.
My hubby is really good at attending his matches, and he has a mostly winning record. He plays mostly offensive style formations and orders. He thinks that attending works for him, and I can't argue with his success.
Lately I attend only if it is convenient for me..(or a super important match) I don't set alarms to wake up for those 10 a.m. matches, sleep is more important. :D
your benefit doesn't come from just watching - otherwise it would have been "top fan".
your benefit comes by changing settings , formations and doing substitutions !
