keep dreaming :P
Secrets are there to be discovered ;D
If i knew how this works i wouldnt share haha.
All players in my team have an SA. I lose on purpose on the league before than so they wouldn't lose a star and get them those SA. I don't know if it was worth it, but for example Shadow Striker for my AMC/AML when I am playing 4-4-2D (changing to 4-5-1V) Shadow Striker seems like an awsome SA for this player. Playmaker for an MC is also good, Free kick speacialist is totaly worth it! One-on-one scorer is also a good SA. My DC/DL/DR have Defencive wall/Aerial Defender and my GK's have one-on-one stopper. I don't know if they make so much difference vs the cost of the SA (40-50 skill points), but since I didn't lose a star I got them for free. Now time will tell how much they matter :)
prove my friend, is all I can say.
Just I will add that as I've said lots of times, SA is not a guarantee, because can be well or bad proggrammed.
But one thing I can tell you is that 90% of the Scouts I bought, had a SA that work, or in his place have another excellent quality and form to play that help a lot.
This season I bought Jimmy Floid Hasselbaink and is Top in assistances and near top in goals, 50Tokens, are worth for that. :3
I will explain Sidd: you spot SA player on market, then you think "woow so cool icon" and buy him only because icons look cool :D LOL
Then you realise it is useless unless it is corner or free kick taker.
Stats of my left winger without and with Shadow Striker SA... It was waste of skill points...

For me not i notice that a shadow ability create long shots And score also many. I also say/think a SA is always better as without SA

Well let's say that Shadow Striker does not affect the player, this I could believe, but training a SA and the player gets worse, sorry but I think this is just plain stupid....
Dudes you need to ask one simple question, Is the 40 skill points you need to get on worth the wait for it? I found by the time I trained a SA its nearly half to two thirds of the season gone and so as soon as next season comes the player loses a star and in all honesty the star becomes void because a good higher star no SA player is as good if not better than the one have trained! so in my opinion its a 100% NO.
I haven't trained nor SA neither new position, but if I decide one day, I'd rather train new position than SA. That is even better if your player has already 2 positions (imagine DC/DMC + MC or AMC/ST + MC)
Its just a choice.
While your asking "Is the SA worth it?" you could also be asking "Is the alternative, the Q, worth it?" I see a lot of people 'evaluating' SA but where's the "I added 40 points to Q and here's the stats difference."
Then it is question of form. If your player is in good form, add SP to increase Q. If he is not in form, maybe you can "help" him by training SA. Afaik, corner specialist ST/AM is always good combination in my team, I had a lot of these players and every was in great form, assists from corners like mad :D
