received two academy players

my first one was a gk 18yrs old 34 rated 2 star and no tokens, not good enough for my squad but will sign and build up over next twelve days and sell before new players come up.

the second is where i have a problem again 18yrs old 42 rated 4 star DC, now he`s a good player for squad and i have a player to sell in his position, the problem i have is he cost me 21 tokens come on Nordeus that`s way to much with the cost of building youth academy up and waiting 12 days before they come through, o`k i took a gamble and signed him for future reference on other players coming through, if he`s a donkey i want a refund on 21 tokens plus i spend less on Auctions getting players so this is my one time gamble so he best be a cracker or i`l be sticking that ( fire ) cracker where the ( you can guess rest )

Just release the DC mate. You can pick up a better player on the transfer list for less than 5 tokens if you look just after maintainence.

If we all kept releasing the academy players Nordeus want to hit us with a 21 or 24 token charge for (as I always do), then they will quickly drop the asking price.

it could be that this system is nordeus intended system from the very beginning. it is their mechanism to guarantee that on the auction list there always be young free agent players. and you know that these kind of players almost always attract a lot of managers to bid on them. and i guarantee you, in the bidding of each of these free youngsters, tokens involved will always more than 24 tokens. so, again, nordeus win as always

nevertheless, i also suggest everyone to release the academy players

here`s another question when players let these academy go as a free transfer as a it seems quite a few do, how come i`v never seen any 4 star 18 yr olds on my transfer market i only seem to see 32+ yr olds

free agent players are always three stars. so if you are, let's say, level 7, and you release a 4 stars youngster, then you cannot see him on your auction list. he will appear on level 8 managers' list. you can see free youngster if somebody in level 6 releases his 4 stars youngster. and considering that the period of generating academy players is long: 20+ days (that's almost one whole season), you cannot expect to find these youngsters so often.

In 6 seasons i have never seen an 18yr old on a free transfer the youngest i`v seen is a 27yrs old ( which i got for 1 token then sold asap for 1.7mil )

maybe you just don't spend too much time on your auction list

i have seen many of them. and i'm sure other members too
but yeah it's true that these players don't appear so often on your list
