I beat the top team (Deacon Chairs) 4-1 and drew the away game 1-1, I also have better goal difference, yet finished in 3rd place.

What's the goal difference of those 3 teams without the matches against Sunner FC?

yeah when it is a three way tie you remove the 4th team and then recalculate the table. Thats a tough break man, hope next season you can get through
