can possession be a disadvantage

why i do ask: if i see my oppenent plays a very aggressive formation and i want to force counterattacks. but now i play at home, watch the game and got 2 friends. so i get 20% possession advantage and lead in possession. is force counterplay still useful?

yes, it seem`s this season worse possession wins, i`v completely dominated match`s countered there formation hit there weak spot and still end losing and today was prime example losing to team 6 quality worse than me ??

Force Counterattacks works when your opponent has the ball - to draw in their attacks and make them play higher up the pitch. If you have higher possession it can still be effective but probably just less often.

Playing defensive and forcing counterattacks can actually produce higher possession where you wouldn't otherwise have it.

Total shots is more important than possesion. The real process of the program I think is there.
