Is there something with the game engine? My team performance is getting worse.

I don't really know what is happening with the game engine, but my team started to perform badly in the past 3 days. I used the right orders and counter formations but I keep losing against my opponents, even losing against weaker ones. Here's an example. I'm lv 8, and my team is 52.3, 4★. I just played against a 43.5, 2★ team and I lost 1-2 miserably. He used 4-1-2-1-2 ND, and I used 4-5-1 V (counter formation to ND) with down both flanks but still lost. I got 57% ball poss., but he got more shots on goal than me, that's weird. And my 5★ striker, wingers can't even beat his 1★ and 3★ defence (my ST, AML and AMR played well before)! Have anyone experienced this like me?

I had similar weird experience this season with bad ratings, but this guy has even more problems (link under screenshot).
