Adaptation or something else ?

Hi my friends
2 days ago, I sold one of my players.
He was very good and it was difficult for me to do it but I needed to renew my team.
The player, a nordgen one, fast trainer, with both feet, had good performances, never got a rate under 6.
Usually I have only one ST that's why I gave extra position AML, so I could use him more often. I also gave him free-kick sa but he wasn't my basic hitter.
I saw the first game results/stats with his new team and Adriano got a 4
I had only 1 time a player with such quality that got 4 (a GK).
If stats of the player is the main criterion then this guy must be very disappointed.
Is this adaptation problem or this player just don't fit in the team and must be sold ?

Maybe he just had bad day, played against good defence/counter formation or sth else was factor. It is only one match, track him for few matches and look after his position in team and how is complete team playing, that has influence too.

I can't, I sent the guy friend request but he didn't reply so I lost his tracks.
Anyway, I believe that if my ex-player got another under 7 rate, gonna be sold.

Maybe there is a hidden leader attribute. Like if he is a complementary player of the team allways perform according to his ability, but if he is the best player in the team maybe he play bad because he is not a leader.

he is naturally a st. maybe playing him as a aml is the reason he got that score.

Maybe he got 0 moral after the transfer or almost no condition?
Maybe he played out of position?
Maybe he took over the bad form of the rest of the team?
Maybe the other guy's tactics didn't suit your former player?
Maybe he missed 1 or more penalty's?
