It used to be that a survey would get you good tokens. You spent the time, but you got enough tokens to make it worth while. This season the surveys are paying 4-10 tokens only. That is just too little. Is anyone really takeing the 1/2hr to make 4 tokens?
Never get that before at least in my server.
last week a survey gave me 42 tokens so I'm done for now
I qualify for maybe 1 in 25 of the surveys, I'm the wrong demographic for them so I haven't tried in over a year, actually. 4 tokens seems hardly worth it, though for time spent.
I don't find value in Surveys, watching videos is a better way to earn Tokens.
Compared to what your giving in, comparision to tokens you receive, is beyond any proportions.
I decided to buy tokens ,for the fact, yes that cost me money, but I decide how much and when.
With surveys, most of the time , your expected to give information that is being sold, for far more than you are getting tokens for.
Plus you have no idea what happens to your info ,, once sold (to third-parties, and or partners)
That is besides the info , Nordeus is selling. Data is big business these days, and companies are exploiting the fact that many people have no idea of the possible consequences.
All the data combined, makes an profile, of you , your preferences, hobbies, dislikes, stuff you like to buy, your activties and where abouts. The disclaimer usually is a bunch of legal chatter, which even for lawyers , sometimes is an puzzle.
The joke of it all, is they are not even paying you money for it......they give you "tokens" that actually in reality only has the value to it, that Nordeus and other companies value it. Lets say they would give instead of 2 tokens, 200 tokens, but made everything expensive , they dont lose, we don't gain neither.
The point of the low value, is to get you to do more surveys. More data, means more money, and they give you "tokens" which they generate with a fingerpress.
You could pretty much compare it to the casino........Casino NEVER loses. People , who focus on the prizes, forget the cost they paying to play.
Here in Netherlands, where I live, if a minor buys a very expensive product, without consent of his parents, the parents can return it. Seller has to give money back because,action was unlawful.
Thats soo different with internet and, games, The only reason most companies are getting away with it, is because technology is proceeding on legislation. Meaning many actions could and actually should be considered unlawful......however at the present time there ain't no law for it, therefor making it lawful behaviour.
The way I see it, You could see it as a scam, extortion, fraud, swindle. Fact is, the ones in government, are just as clueless on this matter, or are profiting off it As long as its on the right side of the law, covered by legal contracts (disclaimers) its called smart business instead.
14 tokens cost 2 euro, if you buy it. (things they make with a buttonpress). 1 token comes down to the value (if buying 14 tokens in best conditions) comes down to the value of 0.14 euro cent (0.17 dollar cent on the actual exchange rate)
If you receive 2 tokens , it comes down to 0.28 Euro cent/0.34 US dollarcent. As you said at best you get 4 tokens (0.56 Eurocent/0.68 Dollarcent). Tokens which you can only spend in a game, where they can influence your expenditure.
Lets say, you put in some effort, and got 42 tokens. A nice ammount to rack up, given the difficulty of earning tokens. However if they decide to change the code of the game, causing more injuries, make scout players more expensive(scout can cost 69 Tokens since update), Increase the need for healthpacks or for example generate good players, so there are more managers bidding on the same player. At the end of the day, You will end up doing more stuff (in favour of Nordeus), while the value of the tokens you receive, actually keep losing value.
In the meanwhile, companies like Nordeus (part of FB), make a living out of selling loads of information (which cost them almost nothing)
EA has a slogan , its in the game......... well for Nordeus, the game lies more in farming money, like players are trying to farm tokens.
Nothing wrong with earning money, especially if you have an unique product or service you provide. T11 was pretty unique up till the update, yes it had it flaws, but the pleasure and fun made up for that. Because of the unique concept and most importantly the dedicated players, T11 was growing day by day in popularity.Nobody would have minded to pay to play. Wether it be in time, by watching videos, doing surveys, or buying tokens. Without doing such, you could still play the game, just with lesser result and possibilities.
Everybody was playing it with basic graphics, in the older version. Yet the concept, and the people playing it , made it an cool game. For young and old, All over the world, wanna-be managers , competing and having fun with people who shared that passion and intrest.
As company you should do your best to take things a step further, improve it for your players/customers. Updates should be in favour to improving the experience of playing it, and not only focussed on earning more money, in unproportional fashion.
If things improve, nobody would be tripping over trying to earn more money.
Unfortunately, instead, due greed, Players are disgruntled, stepping away from the game, or moving over to other "similiar" games, because lets be frank, T11 wasn't and won't be the only football manager around.
Paying customers, are stopping to spend money , as they deem it useless or a waste of money.
Players that earned tokens by other means are quitting putting in the effort, and since with no tokens, in a token hungry game, theres no point (bad results) eventually they will quit too.
Players that just played for the competion and interaction, with other players, quit because soon it will lack other players. (allready does in some levels).
Offcourse some people don't mind the changes, and will continue to play..... power to them.
Just looking at all the polls though, the majority now playing, is feeling disgruntled or discontent. surily not all will leave, however the very same thing that made T11 (word to mouth , by friends and collegues) is the very same thing killing the animo to play this game.
Sure you can make an expensive commercial by Mourinho and a player, to get you new customers. If they had just improved the game FOR EVERYBODY , they wouldn't need to spend money on commercials. (yes, expensive..........Unless you actually believe they doing it for free, or for the love of the game)
With a lot of people leaving they will be needing more income to compensate, so its only fair to expect, that tokens will be losing their value soon, and the game will cost more to play (1 way or another)
To answer your question...............
No surveys and even watching videos, aren't "really" worth the tokens........Even buying tokens proved not being worth it. Only difference is when I buy tokens , I know what Im spending, when you do surveys, you don't . Watching videos, doesn't give data........then again, how much do you value your time???
They say, time is money...........how much do YOU value your time???
Having that said, in 10 seasons, I surily spent more than 500 euros on this "game" on tokens for scoutplayers(which often were just as effective as regular, healthpacks etc. Might seem much, and actually is, but was alll in the sake for the enjoyment and pleasure.
It took me time working, to earn that money. So in fact on that terms , at the end of the day we all spend our precious time, one way or another.
If you would ask me, wether now, I find it worth it...... All I can say is" I used to, now not anymore/Can't even be bothered to play it no more)
In my opinion, surveys never been worth it..........thats the only reason why I decided to spend money on it instead.
Nor the tokens, but most importantly the whole game
On 1 side, I find it a shame/pity that they killed the game like that, on the other side I am happy that they showed me that my money has better ways to put to use.
Thats the only thing , I can really and sincerely thank Nordeus for, with their "Mother of all Updates".

Haha , Surveys are total time wasters , i have tried many like 10-15 and only 2-3 have credited me , that 7 tokens each and they were like 15 mins. long

Yes, same thing with the token videos, after watching one or two videos this message appears ''Ooops... this content is not available at the moment, please try again later.'' every day the same thing over and over again
Ive found after midnight (uk time) for about two hours you can keep watching these videos and racking up Tokens on your PHONE - although there is a limit to a maximum of 50 tokens in a day.Quote:

If you do it on PC after watching the video once you get the "oops not available" prompt you can no longer watch the video. If instead you email the link to your phone (the offer open on Matony) you can keep going back to that email and re-clicking that link and re-watching the same video. By half 2ish most mornings you have either been locked out due to the suspicious activity prompt, the oops not available one, or you have hit your 50 tokens worth. I'd say 4 out of 5 times you can reach the 50 token limit before you get locked out - or at least you can when the videos are 30 seconds to a minute long anyway.
Before that it was a very long video, something to do with Uncle Ben's rice or something daft like that. They were nearly 8 mins long, so you would only make about 10/15 tokens an evening if you were lucky with that one.
