No solution for trolling results...
Accept being trolled in top eleven and live with it
I understand why many managers complain about this. But I think it is hard to comment if I just know statistics of ball procession. Ball procession is not the only factor affecting game results.

If you have higher possession than your opponent, it may be a good idea to use man-on-man marking to prevent counterattacks.
General rule of thumb:
Low possession - defensive, longpass and counterattack. This is generally good against opponents of higher quality than you.
High possession - normal, shortpass and man-on-man marking. This is generally effective against weaker opponents.
50/50 - the best response depend on the orders of the opponent. If you have control but opponent trend to counterattack use man-on-man. If you keep getting attacked, be defensive and counter.

Troll result aside, when yr opponent is creating as many or more chances than you despite having only 30% possession, it is a good ideal to look at your midfield/wingers.
Wingers should contribute to goals & assists while MCs are there to look good and not make you lose possession. So if the opponent is creating a lot of chances with little possession then, your MC is not doing that basic job of looking good and holding possession.
If your MC is getting an 8 rating, then i refer you back to Mourinho on Troll results.
