Some players have no honour

Playing with my second team, previous season I had a friend request from a guy. I accepted it and as it is known, this season the draw put us together in the same league.
We have both very good teams and we are top dogs for the league

so my "friend", in the second game of our league, was supporting my opponent. :eek:

and he is continue doing it (of course I deactivate our "friendship" ).

I didn't expect such a behavior from an experienced player (as you can see, he is an upper lv player who took a lower level team and starting from the beginning), and an older age too.

Really, did he believe that this 2% extra possession could help my opponent ?
I think you can imagine how much I 'm expecting our between game in two days :rolleyes:

Probably your opponents are also his friends, because his friends are also likely grouped to your league.

I usually avoid attending matches between friends except one of the friend's team is abandoned, or one of the team is actually my alternate team.

I used to unfriend some friends in similar situation. But sometimes you may better be patient and take it easy.

I've had that happen. I usually just unfriend and ignore 'em. My husband was mad when it happened to him and he supported against the guy the rest of the season. And finished above him. Best revenge, that.

Is it really a matter of honour of just the use of the friend system for something else? Is there any less honour in doing this than using your sub slots for 1* Cup ringers in your t14? I don't like it either but who am I to dictate to others ;)

Happened to me more than once - but one guy that I unfriended in lvl 3 even got added back later, and is still in my friends list and supports me. Unfortunately, he failed to promote around S8 or so. He simply had decided at the time that supporting against me in a 2-horse race was part of the game and probably expected me to do the same. And I realised too later that I was just taking the huff over nothing.

Last season too I got requests from 3 teams who were obviously my rivals alts - so I rejected. This season when we had different leagues he made the same requests again - I accepted them all and he supports me and it even turned out that the lvl 12 team is an alt and I got a fb friend request from his main - so now I have a new lvl 36 friend ;)

Sometimes through rivalry grows friendship - but I'm pretty sure that if we (his alt) get the same league next season 'all bets will be off' >.<. >.<

I know this guy , we are both French players and were both on a facebook group called " top eleven groupe français "

He is an admin of this fb group , and i leave this group two seasons ago because i don't like him at all , and i'm not amazing about his behavior ...

If i was you , i'll do the same thing he did for you ! as we say in Fench : " oeil pour oeil , dent pour dent " ;)

That is possible, but in such case he shouldn't support any of jis friends. I don't support one friend against other.

Use 361 formation with 6 playmaker SA players and you don't need to worry about ball possession :p

People use the term friends very lightly these days.

In my opinion its a matter of perspective, I mean, is someone really a friend just because he's on your friendlist?
Or is it just someone you know vaguely or have something in common with.

I generally am pretty picky whom I add on my T11 friendlist for example, mostly are collegaes or real-live friends. Also a few managers who share the same ideology(powertraining, thinking out of the box with formations, stuff like that)

I only support all , if i happen to be logged in and their match is playing.
Other than that I don't vote against players in my league, I believe that is only a set up for back-fire.....imagine pissing a few competitors off and have them all NOT support you, on a regular bases.......Some might even take it personal and aim to make it their mission to try ruin your efforts as much as they can, preferably with the help of their buddies lol.

At the end of the day though, this is a game, when I play, I like to play to win. At least do my very best to do so. Without cheating or other ignorant methods offcourse. So I dont cut deals, dont go easy on who ever, as I dont expect others to do same.

First of all, I wanted to apologize because I didn't use any "photoshop" to cover the name of this guy. I uploaded the photos without his name and photo this time. I didn't thought that someone would recognized him. I don't have anything about this guy personally, I don't know him, it's just the behavior wasn't fair I think.
I could accept it, if first he deleted me from friend and after that he could support any of my opponents he would like.
I could accepted, if he was a junior player of the game or an inexperienced player who believed that a 2% supporting a team, can really help.
I don't have any intention to watch his games and support his opponents. Our teams are above the others in the league and I 'm experienced enough to understand that this is pointless. Any way, at that time, I know my self and I 'll have a bad mood if doing this. Nothing to enjoy about. My victory would be a great pleasure and revenge but if not ... hey it's a game.

i hope you will destroy him 8-0 lol

Unfortunately I only take a draw. The good thing was that I break his winning streak and got the "game over" achievement

the oppo players was making continually fouls while the referee was saying that he 's not gonna tolerate those actions, my specialists was loosing the one after the other the free-kicks and the corners
and finally at 90' he scored . This super star ST passed my defenders and scored the first goal :rolleyes:

so now I'm thinking of tanking.

I regularly have people supporting my opponents. Of course it doesn't do them a whole lot of good. My main rival doesn't do this and I leave his games alone as well. He is the only one within a star of me in all 3 competitions.

Outside of my one game so far against my rival I have yet to have less than a 10% advantage in any game and that was when I missed my game. When I am watching it is usually between 60/40 and 80/20. I have a 40 game unbeaten streak dating back to last season :)

I have people in my friend list who show up against me in the cup/cl mainly and I'm not mad at them. If I was 2*+ below the best team in a cup I would be praying he would lose too. Good luck to em, if I lose it will be in the league or a final.

really ? I wouldn't tolerate this. Ofc if it's on purpose, because I hit once (or two) times the button for the oppo of my "friend" :p and he unfriend me (even if I had supported him over 20 times while his wasn't over 5-6).
I know that the meaning of the word "friend" has a different meaning in a forum, in facebook or in that forum but I still expecting some respect.
I have 2 friends in my league for 3-4 seasons and I offered them many times support even if they have competitive teams. Some times I didn't but I didn't support their oppo either.
If someone is jealous about my team or supporting my oppo what's the meaning to be my t11 friend ?

- to change the time of the match to 06.40 (it's the time I wake up to go for work) ....2 Token
- to see my "friend" waking at this time (05.40 France time) to see his team loosing 4-2 .....priceless

now I 'm first, with a last difficult game with the 2nd, home and if I don't loose the league is mine :D

I WON THE LEAGUE CUP :) and my "friend" came second :o

He was there in the last game, supporting my oppo, against 9 friends of mine, but it wasn't enough.

so, he lost his serial of winning & undefeated, the league, and a "friend" that could support him a lot in the continue of the game

No point getting upset imo. Its part of competition... if my "friend" were way below me I might support them, but if they are competing with me for first, it is within the confines of friendly competition to support their opponent.

The friend list for me is strictly to schedule friendlies and receive a few gifts and maybe get some support here or there. Mostly I want gifts and friendlies though. I can generate about 100 rest packs, 200 morals and 60 injury packs in a season that way. plus the 28 gifts of each. Nearly enough skill points for 2/5 star.

Is it? is there really any honour in this game? supporting really does nothing. I have seen the total possession not really change anything. You have an illegal formation and 20% possession but the other manager is not there and you have a full house with +15% possession. Nordeus has never really explained how it works, but one could assume that that +15% should bring you more than the 20% possession.

not to mention that I win the important games by not showing up and not supporting.

Support is over-rated and not really worthy of mentioning honour.

if there was honour in this game, you would not be able to improve your team by buying tokens.
