Someone in my league 3 levels higher than the rest???

Hey all,

Im currently level 33 and just played a league match against a player thats level 36. Is this dodgy or can it happen?? See attached screenshot. I checked the rest of the league and every other team apart from this one is level 33 also.

It can happen if:
1) server doesn't have enough active teams from same level to complete league and uses teams from other level
2) manager tanked (avoided promotion)
3) manager taken new team from lower level (I'm manager level 24 playing my 2nd team in league 12).

Ah right. Cheers for the clarification. For point 2 though, I thought you only go up a level when you get promoted?

Teams get promoted if they finish season on position 1-7.

I know but if you finish 8th, don't you stay on the same manager level? Ive failed to get promoted a good few times and never gained a manager level for it.

for number 2 they dont go up a manager level if they tank, so they stay at what level they are at

yes as they said !! Check his team level not manager level, If his team lvl is 33 then he just took over a new team and if his team level is 36 then it's t11fan option 1.

Point 2 can happen, If the server makes a hold on on the top teams.
You gaine a level of manager, but the team stays at the same level.

Dman2pt is right, if ur on top of the server and get promoted you gain a level but you are still in the same league level..
I've got a friend in my server that never took over a new team, he's lvl 43 and curently playing in level 36 league
