    Well because I can? And because I'll gain more money by selling him at a higher price in negotiation?

    For listing in nego you need to stay at star end and not adding sp to his major skills anyway so why not upping his value by adding SA?
    Upping major skills will make him worthless junk that's why the OP is complaining
