Soon can mean a long time to some people :D They haven't announced any specific date yet.
Many managers really don't like the new app, I haven't seen many such as yourself crying out to have the desktop version updated like the app... in fact, many have said when that happens they will likely quit playing.
Also, when they released the app it still needed tweaks which they have been working on.
