Will match times get better

Almost all of my matches have been at stupid times. Anything before midnight and after 8am is fine. But between midnight and 8am it is not possible to play. Here is a list of my league times followed by my cup times (I joined after being knocked out of the cup and as I'm new and therefore on level 1 there's no UCL)

Please note, any times in red with !!!!!!!! after means that the match was played at night and within 8 hours of another night match (making it impossible to sleep and play both). I've also put "away" to show the matches that were un-changeable). Finally anything in green is at a time when I'm not asleep (however you will notice all of these green daytime matches are after 9pm, so not exactly social times).

Do the times get easier? I know I'll have cup and UCL next season, but will I ever get matches at reasonable times? I'm told I can pay 2 tokens to change each home match but that would waste lots of tokens and that only fixes the away problem.

Total matches: 28
Night matches (between midnight and 8am): 23
Percentage of matches at night: 82%
Tokens to reschedule night matches: 24
Night matches that can't be changed: 11
Night matches played within 8 hours: 8
Night matches played within 8 hours that can't be changed: 4

So to summarise. Of the 28 matches played 23 of them would have meant changing my sleeping pattern to accomodate the game. Of those 23 matches 12 could have been rescheduled costing me 24 tokens, which would have meant 11 of my 28 matches would have affected my sleeping pattern. Of the 23 night matches 8 of them would have not only meant changing sleeping patterns but actually waking up in the middle of a sleep to play and then go back to sleep (some matches were within 4 hours of one another and both in the middle of the night). Going to bed late after playing a match at midnight, maybe falling asleep before 1am but setting an alarm for 4am to play for a few mins then go back to sleep for the rest of the night sounds crazy. How can they think setting 82% of my matches in the middle of the night is fair :(

Is every season like this? Does it get worse?

I have never seen as poor a shedule as yours.

Normal is a few 'night' matches, but this is absurd. Hope this is your only time. :rolleyes:

I'm sure what country you choose within the game effects what time matches can start, could possibly be the cause.

It has become ridiculous since the 2015 app update. My nine year old niece became a level one manager here in England and her home games are all around midnight and her away games are mostly 4am or when shes at school ,so she can never actively play, but hey this is Nordeus, what did i expect lol

My team (level 15 from Australia) today have their biggest match in history tonight - a Cup Final and it's at 1:11am my local time - but my opponents are from the Netherlands and my team is down as the away team so I guess that's to be expected.

You don't have easter holydays? :p

Usually this is because late starters get the schedule for the 'timezone' of the team when it was created, this changes the following season when times are regulated to your time zone. ;). Starting before or after league draw has the biggest impact imo.

The other factor is the more East or West other teams are from you the more times will be spread.

PS. I did a take-over couple of seasons ago on a South Korean team and got late/early fixtures.

I'm from England. So is there a chance this could get better or am I stuck with playing my matches in the middle of the am... :(

it should change in the new season if you have below on squad if not you need to change Country before new season starts

I don't know if this will make you feel any better or worse, but I'm from England as well, and my fixtures are at great times :D The main reason I don't attend matches is because either I forget, or because like any good uni student, I'm taking far too many naps and having long lie-ins basically every morning :p

Yeah, as sporny said.

My theory is, given a fresh start before a league draw, the system targets your matches at 4pm your time then adjusts for opposition time zone. Overall the target seems to be to have your matches scheduled between 10am and 10pm your time zone - ofc some times its not possible and for regions where the game is less popular, unlikely.

I find that games against Western (from me) teams are often earlier and 'Eastern' later but many exceptions occur dependent on other teams schedules, opponents etc. (Probably one of the reasons people in the Americas have double league days is because of this need to fit with other distant regions from them so their matches can go 12 hrs either way. ;) )

I've checked my country is correct and it is thanks. I play on my Galaxy S5 so it took a few mins to find out how to find out. Only problem I've found with only being able to use the android app is that most help info is in the form of another device. The top 11 wiki seems to be mainly based on help for other platforms :/

if you seriously want to play this game, play in a pc/laptop.
Mobile is only for a secondary use.

What are the advantages of PC?

You'll get more 'normal times' in your next Season then. :D

Some of them in a first thought :

in TM (transfer market) you don't have some info about the player you want to buy
- no previous stats
- no info about the previous team. That's very critical because there is a category of players, the faster trainers (nordgen) where the team's name is an indicator.

- you loose some critical info about a game or an auction opponent, like the achievements and trophies.

- you can watch better a match of yours, you can have the main board with stats and formation and players and if your oppo also watching, if he 'll make any change in his formation, you can observe it easily (instead of scrolling to formations board)

The only time I switch to mobile is when I've saved some green packs and want to burn through them wit some training - although I wish the Focus thing worked for 100% of sp gained, so I only do it when I'm OK about general increase rather than specifically increasing 1 of Att etc only.

I think I'd actually quite like it on my mobile if it was a better mobile but the old one one my team is linked to can't cope very well with the app.
