My opponent tonight for the league game, has this formation

so it seems that I 'll have an easy game 11 VS 10 :D

I don't understand why day 4, after 2 cup games and 1 league game at least (some teams played already 6 games)
I see my opponents formation (to prepare my team) like this .

I should see my oppo team as if his team was ready to play our game in the field, not like this crap.
yep.. it sucks cause topeleven's engine is fixing his team, placing his players in their best positions and using the best formation possible.
This was made in order to reduce huge winnings as a while ago the engine would place his players on a random way and he would have 20% possession with atleast 6-7 players out of position, would be atleast 8-10:0... nowday if you get a 3:0 u'r a lucky guy :D
I had a similar team in my League last season. Only the team put out on the field was a real mash up, with a midfielder in goal, the goalkeeper and two defenders in midfield and the midfielders and forwards anywhere they like! 0-8, 0-9, 0-10 and 1-11 scores followed, except where I was concerned - I was trolled away for a 1-1 draw and they didn't turn up at my place and I got a 3-0 default win...
I have this gem in my League this season. They've already gone for 1-4 and 1-5 - any bets on what happens when I get to play them?

Actually, afaik it doesn't put the players in their correct positions - it sticks to the formation in which the unsigned players are positioned.
If its a broken 442 you'll play fixed 442 etc.
But yes it should show the formation - auto-fixing it after day reset - instead of this nonsense continuing until the manager either signs them or 7 days have passed. :(

I'd guess the AMC was injured and thats why a another player went there but, even if we assumed the engine decided the 'abandoned' formation was best (against the same formation), its not exactly anywhere near an optimal solution. ;)

The black lines show what has been happening in the previous two league games this season. Why the game engine takes out Osuna and Hall (both 5* players) and puts McClair and Brinck (both 3* veterans) in their place is something I'd like to hear an explanation for. I can't imagine it's the team manager doing it...

No idea how things work in the game regarding Q comparisons but change in results is probably more about diminishing returns from Q and, perhaps, the disappearance of illegal formation penalty.
If things work based on events and a value check/comparison then 2 obvious options could be:
Difference: (eg deviation from an average/base/direct comparison) - would give more consistent results ie dribbling 5Q above a mean vs tackling 5Q below a mean is always 10Q difference; or
%age comparison: using %age of actual values - would give diminishing returns - 10Q difference at low level could be a 50% attribute deficit/advantage, diminishing markedly up the levels.
(That ofc is likely to be absolutely nothing like what actually happens - just an example)
Imo its sill more likely, on average, to get the 10->20-0 wins at lower levels than as you go higher. Although anything remains possible. ;)
Which is ofc what many more experienced higher level managers than I have reported.
Additionally, perhaps what we are seeing is that the ilegal formation penalty had more impact than just 'possession' and now it doesn't exist anymore ;)
But its not, some formation/player placement optimisation imo.

The team I was playing against wasn't that much different to the ones they've played so far this season. Hall obviously wasn't injured as he was left in instead of being replaced by the suspended Brinck for this game.

No opposition manager present for the game, but there were four 'friends' supporting his team. I was there and also had one friend with me.
Ofc one of the reliable 'surprises' is still the ratings of those oddball oop space fillers.
In a 6-0 CL win for the Buffs the other day the 1-0n-1 Stopper 2* GK that was drafted in as a DC still managed a 9. >.<
EDIT: From the previous pictures I posted, the AMC that featured in the lineup but that was replaced in the previous matches this Season was back in action. So either he was injured and recovered or more Nordeus Voodoo! I suspect the latter. ;)

Their opponent today played against 20% possession (as the GK is out of position, at least). The two vacant spots were occupied in the match by Healy (DL) in GK and McCabe (DC) in DL - the match computer didn't even try by putting Healy in the DL position...
This is stupid.
After day 7 , all those abandoned teams should be replaced by bot teams with 3* (and couple of 4*) as a started team, with some normal formation and players in their correct position.
These teams shouldn't participate in the league.
Half teams will get just the 3 points of a 3-0 score and other half teams will dominate with the danger of an injury.
Which is effectively how I was pushed out of Championship contention last season. I got a home 3-0 default win against a similar team while the other team in contention went away to same team and won 10-0, thus putting their goal difference out of range. I needed a 10 goal win myself (I had better goals scored) against an over-performing mid-table team but got trolled to make the whole thing a moot point anyway...
Those teams which win by 3-0 without playing may arrange more friendly matches and then may be even further exposed to risk of injury.Quote:

As I know, these teams will be locked after the manager is idle for about 30 days (not sure about this figure). They may be available for taken over for another manager. If these teams are not taken over, I hope they will be abandoned at next season and believe that this is the current practice.

Full of 3* players and a couple of 4-5*.
An active, 35T manager can have (at least the started 11)a team of 4* players and with good coaching can win those teams.

I understand that a non-coached team is usually easily handled by any team with manager. But I still think it is fairer that all teams in same league will face the same abandoned team till the season end. And then the abandoned team should be removed.Quote:
