If this improvement are the cup/CL prizes then it is only pocket change x 1.2 or so

But league is not open jet, so there could be an positive surprice there, "but I am not bringing the big basket"
In other news.
My reserve team destroid a level 3 team in the cup
Attachment 46422
through with 17-0 in aggregate
33 years retiring, but still got game :o

Please tell me how to increase the physical form of the players. And many have a maximum 5 form. Maybe there is some secret on how to improve?
Gert, you are right, and the fact is that at higher levels players are losing around 15M a day. I cannot see how the changes are going to address this. The sponsorship deals are derisory, barely covering 2 days wages. I did put a suggestion forward to have stadium naming rights to sell and increase income (for example The Nordeus Arena for 10M x your level) but it has not been taken up. There has to be some sort of incentive for higher level players. I wait with baited breath to see what happens tomorrow but I suspect I will be disappointed.
My main team is on level 20 where average season wage of mine players (avQ high 4*) is ~10M so sum is ~200M for all players. Meanwhile, sponsor contract for one day is 1,23M, max. 34,44M for whole season. That means income (from sponsors) covers only 1/6 of wages. That means every team which wants to survive financially on such high level, needs to win treble or to archieve high finish (top 3/top 4) in all competitions. That's silly.
I'm at Level 22 now, so it looks like I'm going to need a spreadsheet to find out if I'm going to sink or swim financially this year. :)
The Cup Prize Money I'm looking at is:
Attachment 46428
My current summary Finance sheet says this:
Attachment 46429
The 'Competition Prizes' read $92.8M - I know $89.3M of that was the Prize Money for Second Place in last seasons League, leaving $3.5M as the money I got from yesterday's cup match (the only match I've played this season). Where does the $6.03M in the 'Win' line come in then? Do I get that extra to the $3.5M I would get if I win this evenings match? If I lose/draw the match what would I get then? If I lose the match but still qualify on aggregate what would I get? - Questions answered
It seems a bit late in the day to get to understand the Finance side but it's not been a problem for me up to now...
T11_fan, wait until you get higher. I have a level 34 team that is effectively abandoned (all I do is log on to get my tokens) and it is filled with Nordeus generated retiring players, all aged between 32 and 34, and yet the wage bill is still 25M per day. That is the same as my main team, who I invest all my time to and who all the players are at least 2 stars better.
Attachment 46430
In real life a overhill, even retiring player is payed reduced wages. On Nordeus these are most expensive due to wages equal to skilllevel, which is absolutly absurd. IMO the player value should/must be in that calculation as a major factor
PS. off course player value at higher levels has stopped making any kind of sence..
Issues, issues and issues.... In lower levels it makes sence
talisman, one way to save money is to get rid of the win bonus. Personally, I find that it makes no significant difference to the result and your win bonus completely swallows up your competition prize.
Well that sorts out the outgoings... :)
What I'm trying to understand how the prize structure works to see if I can get some sort of idea if I can predict incoming finances.
I've been through every help, hint/tip, guide, etc., and cannot find anything that will tell me how the reward structure works...
talisman, I have just checked my level 21 team and the wage bill is 4.96M. No 6* players but have been lucky enough to win my league 2 seasons in a row. Not expecting to win this year but I am trying to strengthen my team. 10M is quite a high daily wage. CL participation is probably the main way to improve finances and the buying and selling of players can really help. At the level that you are at, I assume that you have maxed your stadium and I can get a full crowd by charging 50, therefore generating 13M from attendance only and as such I can more than break even. But with 10M wages you may make a slight loss. My advice is to get rid of the deadwood and try to reduce your wage bill as much as you can. Run on a good squad of 15 (sell, sell, sell) thst is if you have enough green and reds to recover your players.
Through to the 2nd round of the cup on the backs of a 4:1 (6:1) aggregate victory.
No roster moves since my last post. A pair of negotiation offers weren't accepted. I offered the other managers 5T and 10T respectively for both players, so I think I made fair offers.
I have one offer made on my 4* DL/DC/DR aerial defender for 1T. I do want to accept an offer on him, but am in a difficult position in that I don't have a backup at DL and he got an "8" in both cup matches. Being one skill point away from his 5th star means if I don't accept, he gains a star. Maybe I shouldn't have trained a triple role and SA!
Cup Preliminary Round 2nd Leg - drew 2-2 for a 3-2 aggregate win.
Income sheet for this game:
Attachment 46434
260,000 full house at $52 per gives $13.5M :D I'll try adding $1-$2 to the ticket for the next Cup home game and see if it still fills up.
Looks like you get the $3.52M if you play the game. Nothing about the $6.03M, which I suspect is the reward for winning the whole thing.
Yes the 6.03M is for winning the tournament plus the prize for getting to the final, so maybe a total of 18M if you win the cup.
Hey I have two wins in Cup this season... weird...
Attachment 46440
I'll prolly get crushed next round.
throgh first round:o
Attachment 46458
well of course, he just saved all attemps so 6 seems 'very' fair

I'm through to the 2nd round! *Shocked*
Although I'm playing against a level 8 team, but his team isn't that good. First round at home ended with a 2-2 draw, while 2nd leg away ended with a 3-1 win for my team.
Tomorrow I play my first CL match against the 4th of last season league at home.
Transfers : Already done shopping for this season as I bought a new DC/DR and DMC for 2-3 tokens each.
So I just got the first look at my league this season..
10 out of the 13 teams tanked last season, and have pretty much scout+ teams already. There is one abandoned team, and one crap team.
So I would just like to alter my goals for this season - Instead of challenging for the league title, my goal is to now to not finish in the bottom four.
I am almightily screwed. This is without a doubt the hardest league I've been in.
Help me :(
Thru in the cup 4-3 agg
Call me an idiot for missing(i know its a digital thing :) ) and selling too! By pure stats he would have been good for benchwarmer
but but! :(
Attachment 46477
Another stroke of luck for me this season. I just realised I have four matches in under 24 hours.
Attachment 46478
With no greens. And there are no "easy" matches in this. All 5+ teams. So I've decided to rotate a lot of my main players out for the first match. And since the opposition in the first match is playing 5-3-1-1 Narrow, I went with this formation...
Attachment 46479
Never tried this. We shall see what happens :-D
Cup: The Buffs get 2 wins in the opening round of the Cup and an injury in each, as usual.
No wonder we always make a slow start in the league.
(Don't blame my TM activity - its NOT my fault - its THEM *points* ;) )
EDIT - 1-0 win in CL, now its 3 wins and 3 injuries.
My Cup oppo tomorrow only has 12 available player`s for his game because 2 are suspended, now i know i should not wish injuries too other`s as they are a pain in the rear BUT i had a Cup Jink`s last 5 seasons so i`m hoping he get`s a couple before our game so i get auto 3-0 away win ;) lol
United update:
I am placed in a CL group with three 32 leveled managers, so odds for advangement are very low.
But first match turned out awesome .
And taske a look, on the tough day my keeper desided to do good, almost became MOM
Attachment 46491
Just three more to go... Yes wishfull thinking
My league is ridiculously strong,as my team has almost 10 seasons together my Q drains,so I can't compete with Q but there's still something in the pipeline:-) I ain't wining the league ,that's ok,but my goal is top 4. Here are the 2 strongest teams, one is my long time friend n the other is a tanker,I had to start today vs him and he scored after 2min,so I thought the nightmare starts ,BUT there's one thing others don't have and that's,Mario Gomez:-) He decided ,not so fast,Pete I'm still here,no worries And ,I won:-) Gomez 2 goals and 1 assist:-):-)Attachment 46492Attachment 46493Attachment 46494
It's always nice to see former player doing well in new club...
Attachment 46500
18 minutes of the league match and I get injured, of course I do, I am a 7*
Attachment 46508
So this season 2 injuries 2x4 days both on 7*
thats 100% I tell you :p
Slimmed-down Palace Casuals started their Champions League campaign with a 0-0 draw against Sherif FC.
Opponent used a 4-4-2 classic, Casuals started in 3N-4-1-2 but a change to 4-5-1V got a few more chances on goal but still couldn't break down the generalist formation... Opponents DC got 9 and MoM.
Also picked up the 'it should be a free-kick but the commentary says corner' bug...

Shed two more players yesterday, now down to a squad of 16, daily wages $9.17M. Full house at $52 per for the CL game (+$5.4M merchandise sales) - raising by $2 for the next home game.
One friendly first thing this morning, tix at $22 got 130k (50%) attendance for $2.8M + $986k merchandise sales. Reducing ticket price for the next one...
League : 7-1 against 2* lower team. OK
CL: 4-2 againts 1* weaker team. OK
i really worries about defenders. Some player must be bought.
42M profit without friendly matches. now it may no need to do Friendly matches anymore
Rocket Hotspur got through on penalties in the first cup round, after both legs were drawn 2-2.
We kicked off the League campaign with a 2-1 win but took an injury to one of our DC, may have to look at a formation change with two games a day for the next few days.
Our first CL campaign for two season starts in half an hour
My daily wage bill sat at 32.6M this morning - and since then I've bought a few better players, removed a few weaker ones, so expect that to jump up a bit again tomorrow! I'm only at level 30 too!
A plus, I've noticed that while friendly ticket price and fans have been nuked, I've been able to significantly raise my prices for CL, Cup and League games.
Last season I was getting around 221K fans at $74 in the league.
I've just played a game with tickets at $78 and maxed out the 260K attendance, so have now raised it again to $80 to see how I cope in a couple of days when I am next at home.
The same with the CL, I hit the 260K in my home game today, so have raised it again to see how I cope when I next play at home again.
Finance wise, in a profit so far this season even having brought in 9 new players (although I have sold players I don't want too I am trading at a loss on transfer fees). Looking to sell one more player and bring in 2 more if the right ones become available, but things are going well on that front.
Out of the cup having drawn a team 3 levels better than me but won my first CL game 7-0 and first League game 3-0 today.
Drew 1-1 in CL at home. Dominated the game but there keeper made 8 saves. Went 1-0 down in the second half, still couldn't make a breakthrough. With 20 minutes to go we switched from 3W-2-1-3W-1 to a 3W-2-2-3, hard attacking and got a goal with 5 minutes to go.
League: Buffs FC win their first match in the league. *faints*
It was irregular heartbeats all round when the first 45 mins passed without a goal but by 60 mins the Buffs were 3 up. Jack Harper scored 2 and then served it up on a plate for Jim Baxter to finish.
Murmurs went around the ground when the home side scored in 68 mins. The Buffs huffed n puffed but 3-1 it stayed. At least it wasn't the usual Round 1 draw. ;)
