Palace teams report for Thursday...
Desert Rats FC finished their programme of matches first, and had a couple of contrasting results. Having a 18.4Q against their opponents' 24.4Q, the Rats were on a hiding to nothing in their home League match, and so it proved. 0-4 down by the 35th minute, a couple of substitutions seemed to steady the ship a bit. The opposition scored another midway through the second-half to make the final score 0-5, but there was another sting in the tail as Alfianto and Atanasov suffered injury, out for 4 days each. Playing against a team with exactly the same AQ but a Level higher, Desert Rats pulled off a fine win at home in the 1st Leg Cup match three hours later. Woolley (fit after an intensive session with the medical team pulled him through the final day of his injury recovery in record time), Taylor and new-signing defender Stannard scored in a 3-0 win.
Palace Casuals were at home in the League for their only match, and won an end-to-end battle 4-3. Recent-signing left-winger Garaev snaffled MoM with two goals and assists on the other two, scored by Shaqiri and Kaminski.
Interesting happening not seen before in a friend's match which the Management was watching just before the Casuals match:

Palace Terriers had a 1st Leg Cup match at home, and everything happened in the final three minutes. Striker Hall nodded in a Record corner to put the Terriers in front, but the visitors equalised with the last kick of the match to make the 2nd Leg match very interesting. The evening away League match was a more routine affair, Schmitt, Perez and van der Plas scoring in a 3-0 win which takes the Terriers close to the Champions League slots.

Won c/l game 2-1 and win group with 100% record

3:0 win in CL group match. Teda is heading to the knock out stage.
Another 3:0 win in league, the league leader won again so we are still 8 points behind... Too tough to challenge him...

Palace Teams report, Friday...
Palace Terriers had a veritable goal-fest in their matches today. Assured of progression from the Group stage of the Champions League and the lead position in the Group, Terriers played a reduced-quality team, but still ran out 12-0 winners over the bottom-place team. Right-winger Julien van der Plas ran out with MoM, the match ball and a new Palace teams record by scoring a double-hat-trick, just pipping left-winger Nathan Masegela who scored 5. Left-back Ruben Gorrono netted a free-kick for the ninth goal. Palace Terriers become the first Palace team to have a 100% record in a Champions League Group stage.

In their League match, Terriers had a comfortable 4-0 win. New signing Zdenek Krajca and striker Ben Atkins each scored 2 goals but van der Plas stole MoM again for a hat-trick of assists.
In their Champions League match, Palace Casuals were bolstered by the knowledge that the other match had been played and the result meant that they would progress whatever the result of their own match. Playing away, they put up a good fight but eventually went down 0-2 and finished second in the Group.

In the evening, Casuals had a difficult away League game and came out on the wrong end of a 1-2 scoreline, striker Liam Cashman converting a penalty. One thing the Management has noticed recently is a surfeit of commentary, one example being:

Desert Rats FC had to wait until late evening for their only match today, and had a goal-fest of their own away at the bottom team in the League. A hat-trick each for right-winger Francisco Pelissier and new-signing left-winger (the Rats have finally managed to sign a player with ML role!) Chris Passmore, and one from midfielder Jose Carlos Matias for a final score of 7-0 keeps the Rats up with the leading teams in the table.

Teda bought a Bosnia either feet forward Mojovic with free kick specialty, I pushed him one point (not a cone) shy of 7 stars.
I hate to make key changes in the mid of season but my main and second forward don't score which put Teda in very embarrasing situation.
Let us see how Mojovic will perform.

Talking about my minimal management Level 18 team again.
I'm active for the team today. Purchased 3 players for it. All unsigned. Started to worry if I can sell players in market to make room for new players. But now I can sell player to agent. So it's okay.
I brought 2 right wingers today and brought 1 ST/AMR 2 days ago for this team. It 's because good winger is very very rare. I need good wingers because my winger usually out-score my strikers. Probably my formation has problem. But this is my style to use winger. My original right wingers are good but both of them are 4 star. As I think my team is struggling, I prefer to upgrade at least one of them, and it is the only position I can really upgrade. Now I may need to sell both of them. I have already sold one. The remaining one is the top scorer in this season with 11 goals. I started to worry if this is good move. But I have to move on. I think it is easy to be sold. He's maintained to be 1 sp away from 5 star.
BTW, winger is too rare now that when I am searching wingers in market, I cannot target maximum price players as I normally do, because it does not exist in auction market.
After 3 big losses, my team face the league leading team. It's much stronger than my team in terms of quality. Surprisingly, my team won with convincing statistics today. I am happy but frustrated. Don't understand how to maintain consistent performance.

Even though I feel my team playing extremely poorly, actually it is temporarily at 4th place after the victory. My league is interesting. You can see that the bottom team my climb to top 7 and even top 4 if it will have 3 consecutive wins.

Teda is in quarter finals of the cup.
I did not watch the second leg but our folks went through with a 3:1 win. New ST Mojovic scored one goal and got a rating 8.0 in his debut.
