Youth player update..
At 6* their training speeds have dropped a bit..
On average,
Stretching +20 to +27
Cardio +50 to +57
Practice match +80 to +87
But still pretty fast.
7* semi-fast GK has
Stretching +15
Cardio +37
Practice match +58
Definitely worth the 21T to sign the player. I'm doing what the token buyer in my CL is doing. Pretty good, you can keep players for longer than scouts this way, their training speed is fast enough to gain 1 star per season. I don't think I'll be getting any 9* players though.. 7* at most. A fully 7* team is what I'm aiming for
45 minutes remaining 2nd Leg Royal Rumble Cup playoff, Maverick 1982(4-2-1-3, Lvl 7, Q 53) traveled to Rumania againts active managers Lica FC (4-2n-2w-2, lvl 7, Q 50, team value 154 M, League performance 7-0-0). (1stleg 4-1)
I think 7* through the whole team is better than picking 2 or 3 players and wasting many packs just to get them all the way to 9*, having said that most of my current best starting XI is at least 7*, but there are some 5* like Vasko and Rocastle that sometimes need to come into the first XI for a game because they are the best player available for a certain starting position. Hopefully next season I can shift out both players and get in more quality for DMC and MR.
Will you be investing in the youth player next season? I always get goalkeepers and defenders...hoping for a midfielder next time.
Next season will see a new striker take to the stage. Suarez has been excellent but his lack of 1 v 1 scorer has cost us goals. The new guy is younger and has 1 v 1 scorer ability and will get regular starts next season. Hoping he turns out like Papaleo and stays for a long time.
It's funny that... Papaleo is a Penalty Taker specialist but most occasions I saw Papaleo go 1v1 against a goalkeeper, Papaleo often scores or makes a pass to another player to score, possibly due to the players quality and maybe a hidden intelligence stat, I'm hoping for a good MR or a DMC but I have to wait until day 8 next season for a youth player and I can't really wait that long... I havent got the best cycle for youth player production im afraid. Last season it was 4,16,28. This season its 12,24 and next season its 8,20 and then it goes back to the 4,16,28 again. Pepp Crawford is a wasted talent at my team but I believe with him being 23 and Zidane 27, he will soon actually surpass Zidane's quality. I'm starting to think that you only need 3 strikers at your club at any given time. I've normally had 4. and I rarely play 3-4-3 or 4-3-3 or any variation with 3 ST.
I only have 3 strikers at my club, it's enough because I only play with one striker most of the time. The others are 2nd choice strikers or emergency replacements. Sometimes I think Suarez lacks intelligence. He is 1 on 1 with the keeper and decides to pass to a defender who usually misses lol. Happens a lot of the time, he's great when he doesn't do that.
My new signings will be a year older next season at 6*, they will get to 7* through a bit of PT and regular matches. The cycle will continue for a few seasons at least because they'll be fast trainers until they are at least 24 years old. Jonny Lamb is 23 now and one of my fastest trainers... He was a youth player from level 1 and I still have him to this day. If I stick to this regime then I won't have to buy scouts and just invest in buy young players and give them a special ability.
At 5*, my young players gained at least 50-60 SP a day and quickly got their special abilities. It was about a 1:1 ratio for rest packs to SP, maybe a bit better than that so it's definitely more value for tokens than scouts. You also get to pick the SA which I like.
If there was 1 or 2 scouts that had a rating close to 7* and were 22-23 years of age with a desirable SA would you still sign them? because even with a 1:1 ratio on skill points to green boosters, it will still cost about 250T get the 4* youth tokens player to a good scout quality and also apply the SA.
I guess so.. But they don't appear often. I meant in general, I would opt for the young player approach and for players with multiple positions, I'd go for the scouts. So GK, defenders, MC, ST would be young players... Because I like having players with multiple positions, adding SA and a 2nd position isn't worth it in my opinion.
Thinking about it...I can't not buy scouts, that's how I found Petersen. There's bound to be another gem in there!
I'm definitely investing in the 500 tokens tomorrow, prob buy a couple hundred green packs and do a bit of training with the lads. I have managed to push Bale upto 33Q in the last week. so if I can get him to a 6* I will be glad as he and Giel are awesome down the wings
Game in a few mins... Playing the Narrow Diamond now. but its one of the weakest teams in the league qualitywise, I'm going ahead with my 3N-1-3W-1-2 thats been working well for me while I've played it this season.

2nd Leg Royal Rumble Cup traveled to Rumania Lica FC lvl 7 vs Maverick 82 0-0....going to the next round
Not in the mood. Lost in Cup with an accesible team, but was only 1-0 away, after in my home he scored in '90 for a 1-1.

Thai Team 0-6 July Fourth League Round 8
Thai Team 88.8 4-1-2-1-2 ND - July Fourth 103.5 3N-1-3W-1-2
ALDEAS won earlier today which needed a instant response from us to make sure we got back up to pole position in the league which we sure did with an excellent 6-0 over the only Thai Team thats in our league this season, Mensah firstly was booked early for a foul, and Seaman saved the free-kick to keep us level, The early play came from Miku trying to find passes to our other players, July Fourth then took control of the game, we missed a couple of chances firstly Adams shooting wide of the post and a Novotny header that just went over the bar... Rocky put us in front with a long range drive and a Pederson foul gave Mensah a chance to produce his magic from the free-kick, once again he was able to get a sweet contact on the ball and cleanly finish it, Papaleo was now the instrumental figure in the game, after 2 missed chances at the end of the 1st half, Papaleo got the ball early beat the marker and slot it past the keeper, Mensah had another free-kick but this time it was saved, then Michu setup L.McNamara in a fine play past the defence and L.McNamara's shot on target was enough to beat the keeper, we took Mensah off the field of play and that proved to a wise choice as July Fourth were to get 2 more free-kicks and Papaleo dispatched them both to complete a hatrick.
Goals: Rocastle (18) Mensah (26) Papaleo (50,74,79 HAT) L.McNamara (71) MOTM: Michu
Cup game in half hour, lets qualify to the next round!
Early finish for me today, and now 29 hours until next game. Time for my players to have a break in the sun.
We started today with a Cup match in Israel, in which we started with a 3-1 lead. A draw was OK, but the fact that their goalie won man of match, probably sums up the match.
Result: ISRAELI TEAM 1-1 LONDON CITY
Goals: Alonso 35, Morgada 90
M.o.M: Borrowman (IS)
We gave a good account of ourselves, but it just seemed that it wasn't going to be our day, especially after our hosts took a first half lead through Alonso. We kept plugging away, but a defeat seemed imminent, until Hector Morgada headed a last gasp equaliser from a cross from Marcus Bentley. This is our third victory over a level 10 team, in the competition.
Our league match was at home against the 3rd place team, who were two points behind us. The win puts us clear in 2nd. Now hoping the leaders slip up tonight.
Result: LONDON CITY 4-2 TONGFANG UNITED
Goals: Kennedy 7, Morgada 28, Manning 32, Petrovskiy 46, Zola 60, Hafsa 84
M.o.M: Hector Morgada
The team were slightly apprehensive before the start of this top-of-the-table clash, but nerves were calmed when Dave Kennedy rifled in an early goal. Further goals came from Hector Morgada and Clayton Manning, before the break, seemed to make the game safe. At the start of the second period, Petrovskiy pulled one back for the visitors, but we soon restored a three goal lead when Adam Zola blasted a long range effort past the hapless 'keeper. A late goal from Hafsa, was just a consolation for United.
We just lost in CUP with 4-1 home, they scored 1 time from pentaly and 3 times from corner, why I have 2 players with that SA?
No reason to cry but is sad... we had almost 70% possession and they had 10 corners..
