L8 player bid for my 6* player... I guess lots of people are doing this sort of thing... Damn
Well last season in L3 as I am not a T-buyer just manage on good tatics. I finished 8th. But was building my team and saving money. This has allowed me to build a good squad and finalise two formations that work. I have just secured 2nd spot with my team. Based on quality am well punching above my wait. I am shrewd in the transfers and dont use scouts. I aim for another top 3 finish in L4 next season.
We are minutes away from the whistle which will start our very first CL final. The stadium is fully crowded and the players are warming up. The tension is palpable, while New Team arrives here in full condition.
While the other team still isn't showing changes in his main eleven after League's match had about 3 hours ago, coach Mad disposed the Journalists with the starting eleven, without getting into details about the formation:

Champion's League, FINAL:

New Team's home town shines in glory and parties due to its Eleven bringing home its first Champion's League in history on the very first attempt! A match intense, and full of surprises!
Coach Mad thought about the formation a lot before this felt match. Unable to solve totally the riddle, he opted for a counter: New Team started with a 3W-2DMC-2W-1 with only Hutton as forwards, supported by Tom Becker on the left (outroled) and Danny Mellow on the right. The opponent didn't change his formation and went Xmas tree, a formula which resulted hard to chew for Mad's 11.
The first half started with NT in advanced possession of the ball (65/35), costantly moving into Murcie's half and pushing on the sides seeking spaces. Hutton himself a couple of times proves his superb condition freeing himself from his marker, but Murcie's defense is in gracious state tonight and manages to block every attempt by NT's captain before he can actually shoot. And when him, and Becker, find a path, the Keeper is superb into pushing the ball on corner. On the other hand, Murcie itself by the end of the first half proved to be dangerous when 2 counters had to be blocked by Philip Callaghan before they could end it in the worst scenario.
Worried for the 0-0 ongoing, Coach Mad decides to free his mind from every fear or tension: the beginning of the second half sees the DMC Goryushkin leaving the field for the DR Harper, and Danny Mellow going out for Mark Lenders, ripristinating the usual and perfectly memorized 4-1-2-1-2. With its 4 iron defense aces back in action in defense, Denton and Diamond are now free to push in the middle, and Hutton finally has a partner with which dialogate.
The results are like night and sun: New Team ferociously regain the ball possession (64/36) and even when Murcie changes their ML for an AML and ST for another one, the game is on. Few minutes after the whistle, Lenders receives from Becker and serves Hutton. Thanks to his partner, he has the necessary space to skip his marker and shoot clearly towards the goal: the stadium ROARS along the captain when the ball fits under the seven and unlock the match on 1-0 (49')!
Murcie tries immediatly to strike back probably raising the tackle's level and trying again to counter NT's possession, but at minute 56 Hutton, double marked inside the area, sees behind him the upcoming Julian Ross and serves him: and it's HIM, the one who was benched the whole season due to poor ratings, who just lately found again his form, to score with a piercing shoot under the bar the goal of safety! THE PRINCE is back!
At this point, Murcie decides to move towards more and NT sets waiting the opponent. WHen Callaghan, superb tonight, steals the ball and launchs Lenders on a counter, the striker makes his 1on1 specialist title count and "gangnamstyles" the keeper with a powerful shoot for the 3-0 (73')! As last cherry upon the pie, a free kick earned by Oliver Hutton takes Callaghan on the ball, who crowns his perfect match beating the barrier and the goalie with a perfect curve ball, giving New Team the round 4-0 score and the final victory (86').
MoM: Philip Callaghan (9), New Team

Party time!!! :cool::cool:
Average dropped by 4.1... As I calculated correctly.
Need it down by more though....
With all this cup format system change and lowering averages I have decided to sell the first of the 8 players I power trained all way to 8* or more in S13/L13
Ryan McNamara
DL/DC 6*100 Defensive Wall
P46 G3 A0 M0
P52 G5 A1 M2
P50 G4 A0 M5
P8 G1 A1 M0
Total P156 G13 A2 M7
He was a excellent defender winning all the key defensive sliding tackles and also made the occasional push forward from the left-back he mainly played in, Was thinking of keeping him one more season, but with the cup format and him being a low 5* 28 year old next season, I thought it was best to sell the player. He will go for just over $50M. He will be easily replaced next season when I sell all those 3*85 players next season.
Murphy has been sold for $44.5M at the second attempt.
From 47.5 average to 42.3, I'm at the same average as my CL final opponent.
And I'm going to get it down even more.
New Team has officialized the first two transfers out of a total of 5:
Usmane Ulusoy, 21 YO, ST, Q 24/9, Value 1,01 M, went for sale at 900k and sold out for 1,23 M
Stephen Biegansky, 23 YO, Q 26, Value 700k, went for sale at 600k and sold out for 770k
That brings New Team's current cash to 10 M.
What do you guys think about 4-1-2-1-2 narrow diamond against 3N-2(Dml/Dmr)-3N-2?? Or is better using 4-4-2 classic with 2 players out of position?
It's so good to have the first Q39 scouts of the whole season appearing now on list. I shall buy em all!!!
Have I missed much whilst at work?

Congrats to whoever won the CUP, League, and CL :)!!
