It originally looked like there could be a bidding war with 10 clubs in for him but after that initial round only 3 clubs remained and it only went 5 rounds. But still made more than his market value so all in all a good bit of profit.

Looks like the buyer got a Wayne Rooney at a bargin price there since the real one is worth about £30million.
