yeah... i generally lose one and if lucky win others
ok, you have that experience !
I usually have my games between 10.00 am and 10.00 pm (my time). There were few times when I didn't have the chance to refresh my team (playing in a 3 hours difference and couldn't watch). Yeah, lucky me. I can "escape" for some moments from my day work and with my mobile, even if I can't watch the game I can do rotation for the next game or give some greens.
So, does low condition affects performance or it just makes the players vulnerable to injuries ?
Is it another Myth ?
Another thing that's sure it isn't a Myth, it's the form of a player.
A high quality player (6*-7*-8*) if has a bad form, better let him out of the game and use a 4*-5* who 's performing good.
That's an experience that most of the managers had so we 're not discuss if it's a Myth or not.
But let's see something else.
many people talking that if we have a player out form, some things we can do are (except sell  ) :
Bench him
Train him and give him sp
Give sp to some other skill (for example, if he is ST and has many attack skills, give sp to defense).
Use him in another position - if not performing as DMC, use him as DC.
Use him in another place of his position - if he is playing as right (place) MC, use him as left (place) MC. The same with DC or ST.
What are you saying ? Can this happen ? To reverse with those tricks a bad form or it's just happening randomly by the game/program to get his form back ?
Is it a MYTH ?
maybe it's time to visit our Mythbusters Lab again :o

About the win bonus. Yesterday I had a semi finale in the CL. First game was a tie at 1-1. I was the better team and was playing home. So I thought lets increase the win bonus. I set it at 75%. The result was a 3-1 loss. My whole defense was a Swiss hole cheese (dutch saying haha). Every defender scored like 6 or lower. Even replaced 3 defenders but they got 5,5 scores really quickly.
Now it could of course be that the other team set the win bonus to max and thus had the upper hand, but would 25% win bonus make such a difference? Teams were not adjusted in between. Same formations.
you are forgetting your (his) possession bonus and his incentive to keep you from scoring at home after scoring away. Bonuses also work best in the first leg of finals. Also, not all players respond favourably to big jump in bonuses. Truly its either max or nothing in semi finals and higher always.
well, in my cup finals today, I used max lv bonus, in my lv1 teamQuote:

and lv1 (the min), for my lv15 team, cause max was a lot of money :p
Attachment 55426
Used the max for the CL final and lost 1-0. Was watching though and my friend didn't show up. Equal match but he scored once :(
to test grass , you should test all team before and after upgrade to view injury tendancies
ok, now with the new update, when managers from different servers can support each other, I read some complains that players with a lot of friends, have a big advantage for winning the games.
But, is this true or Myth ?
One friend, when watching, gives a 2% to ball possession.
But the game doesn't count more than 5 friends, so the manager must also watching the game and playing home so he can get totally a 15% in b.p.
Most of the times, this isn't happening but even then, b.p. doesn't ensure anything.
Shots on target is more critical than b.p. and then it's how effective is the attackers of your team in finishing (scoring).
* so, also we're looking in tackles and GK saves.
If b.p. was so critical, my team would be undefeated because almost in all games I have it :p
One thing I do, when watching my game, is to "clear" the added % coming by me (watching the game), % from home-tickets and % from friends. so can understand what is the real b.p.
But in supporting, it's another thing important, beyond b.p.
A manager who has many supporters
- probably is in a top eleven fb group, and as an active member there, he has many extra experiences
- he is a very active player of the game (because also he must do support to his fans) and has a lot of pictures and experiences from the game
Morale improves your players? = MYTH OR NHA?
All matches are already scripted in Top Eleven system. When you see a live match, you see an already scripted match. I mean, if I will play at 21:00 with someone, the match will be scripted before 21:00, and you will only see the results. You can't change anything :X lol it's a myth.
Haha you're right. How about morale boosters?
Substitutes could easily be just transcripted from other names. As in you substute Adams with Feichl. Normally Adams would have scored, but now Feichl scores.
There is actually a time difference in devices. I should investigate this. When I watch a game on my iphone I can support myself with my second team on the ipad. The game on the ipad however is sometimes 3 minutes ahead of the game on the iphone. That is a bit strange.
As Mourinho is saying when the game is starting, you can use morale booster is for increasing the morale of a player - but he isn't saying that after that, the player will perform better :rolleyes:Quote:
Haha you're right. How about morale boosters?
anyway, we talk about that in those posts

A Myth is saying that there is no live game.
The game is fixed 3 min. before it is started, when we cannot make any more changes. Then, the program is making a calculation and we see the visualization of that.
Sometimes thinking that we can intervene , we ‘re making subs but the actions are already scripted. If we sub player and he got a card, it was the previous player/position that got the card. The same for scorers or injuries.
Some people saying also, that the League is already fixed after the draw and the winner have been decided by the program.
Of course this isn’t truth.
One season, I had a team in 1st position but I was pissed of (from continually injuries) and I dropped my team, took over a team from lv1 and stayed there for a couple of seasons without playing.
As about the “live” match, I think an experienced manager, after some seasons, can notice that when opponent manager is coming to watch the game, something is changing.
Many times I started a game (without oppo) and all of a sudden, oppo team start making shots, has some ball possession or even scoring.
Then I checked and see that oppo manager is in the game now.
Also many times we see that when a friend is coming in the game, something is happening.
So, beside the changes we ‘re making, we see that there are factors that affect the flow of a live game.
So, how the game is fixed (or scripted) ?
* Actually the game doesn’t have a continuous programing but every 5-6 (game) minutes, takes the new data (subs, orders, supporters …) and making new calculations.
Beyond the Myth :
What’s going on with that ? Why so many people saying about a fixed game ?
I think this has to do with a very “strong” roll dice of the game. Many times I feel hopeless when I watching my team loosing (or not winning a low q team), making subs, changing orders and formation but with no result.
I don’t know what is this roll dice.
Is it a personal for my players “bad day” that eliminates all my advantages ?
Is this a “decision” of the game, that the time has come for my team, to loose a game ?
Is this a secret factor, who is trying to simulate real football situations ?
I really don’t know.
* and remember that sometimes, we think that we 're watching our game but actually we 're out of it because there is a problem or a server maintenance.
please don't reply with quote this post. It's too big :o
Lol, nice answer. I didn't want to make a big discussion about it..but it's okay.
THERE IS AN UNBEATABLE FORMATION! Myth or Nah?
@Niko: After last game I am starting to think again that everything is scripted. From the moment I started my match I saw my defenders drop in rating. Mind it, these are solid 7-8 defenders but apparantly they are having a form crisis for over 9 games now. Within 15 minutes 2 defenders of mine have 5,7 ratings. All I can think is, I am going to loose this. Whenever I see a lot of red ratings, the game is mostly lost. I get behind 0-1. I go more agressive and score 2-1. I go into the second half and switch out my 2 bad defenders (5,4 now). My two new defenders go from 6,5 to 5,7 within minutes. The opponent gets 2 shots on target and scores 2-3 and I loose the match.
This is not the first time that I see this happening. In the last 9 games all 5 losses have went like that. Bad ratings for different defenders. My trustworthy goalie all of a sudden going to 5,1 scores? Against teams a lot lower in quality then mine? I was in the CL against a team with 10Q less and was trashed in the second game while I won the first game with convincing ratings.
There are just to many mysteries around this game, too little information and explanations. I still think they are laughing their a...s off. I have seen to many freak scores happen. So I say it is plausible.
What are you saying, is what I wrote here in #56
but this is something differentQuote:

maybe your team is coming into a de-form situation or your players have fatigue from too many games in League/CH.L./Cup or maybe from continually injuries.Quote:

there is no unbeaten formation or unbeaten team.Quote:
THERE IS AN UNBEATABLE FORMATION! Myth or Nah?
Few days ago, I saw the strongest team of top eleven loosing a game (lv49, 9* team vs 7* team)
* but if I had a 8* team, I think I would set a 4-4-2 and return at the end of the season, just to take my trophies :o
I think it is true
I think games aren't scripted, else when I switched from down both flanks to through the middle it worked. I play on Android, so I can see the animations.
the script will just change the name of the player during the playback of the script. pretty easy to explain.
I think that there is a possibility that it is more like those choice books, where you get to a point in the game where you have to choose which path to go and if you choose path A, you go to page 14, and if you choose path B, you go to page 16 and it goes from there.
But then again, I find it hard to believe that I can win so many games with everyone in a crap formation with my worst players playing hard defensive and mixed on easy. I got promoted 3 years in a row, the most recent seasons, when trying to tank - 5th place, 5th place and then the dreaded 8th place. Very frustrating. Finally managed to tank this season. will have to tank next season as well just to catch up.
yes, that's a possible scenario.Quote:

I like fantasy games, books & movies, so I have 2-3 books that style (Dungeon & Dragons stories).
Well, if you have a bad roll dice and you made the wrong choice, you 'll end in the dungeon with the unbeatable dragon - lol *
(but still, you 're taking some decisions)
* Here is where forum chief, @PricopGeorgeCătălin, fell into Dragons lair
and I 'm sure that he knows more than anyone that the game isn't scripted

So, what we have here so far. There are countless posts in the forum saying
Why I lost that game (or couldn’t won)
-I have better quality players * as I said, 1-2* and some times more, specially in higher levels cannot guarantee the victory
-My formation is proper (or opponents form. wasn’t correct) * this just gives a bonus but not guarantee either
-I watch the game, oppo wasn’t there * the same (and want to add here, ok, you were watching but did you make the right coaching ?)
-I had also supporters, ball possession and more shots * that also gives a bonus but not guarantee
-I always give bonus while oppo team is like abandoned * bonus maybe can give a +1,2,3 or 4% but not guarantee
I want to say here that the manager/team who’s playing with those conditions, in a long term he‘ll have successful career and titles.
But sometimes it’s about other things : the form of the players, maybe a bad chemistry of the team, good/bad day of some key players, right/wrong subs, excellent performance of oppo specialists (free-kick, corners), wrong decisions in orders (switch to attack/hard attack, hard tackling, wrong arrows, man-to-man) and of course the most important, bad roll dice of the game.
A Myth (or an advice) is saying that you mustn't accept a friend request from a team you 're playing in the same competition.
With that way, your friend/opponent can organize a friendly game with your team and learn how to play in the between official game.
Well, that's a myth.
Friendly games have different calculations than the official games and in general, a t11 game never is the same again.
There are too many factors that affect it and it various every time.
You can see an example in the Mythbusters lab here, post #9
http://forum.topeleven.com/top-eleve...sters-lab.html
Beyond the Myth :
I try not to make friends from my competitions. The reason isn't that the other manager will discover my secrets but because (probably) I 'll have to support him in some games and I don't want the other teams to misunderstand that (because they don't know we 're friends).
Another reason is that my "friend" 'll know my games schedule so he could switch our game in an inconvenient for me hour.
Myths with trolls - scripted decisions chapter
Almost in every season, a team "must" have 1-2 troll results.
Well, I think it's true.
A troll result it's not only against weaker teams but also vs good teams (usually when oppo manager isn't watching).
There are some "signs" it troll games.
One sign is a "fixed" red (from two yellows) card.
Here is a game of a friend.
When he saw that his player Cadenet at 44' got a yellow card, he made a sub
The game didn't made the sub, kept him in the game and at 57' he got the second yellow >red card.
After that, oppo scored twice.
Attachment 58394
Here we can see the min, he got the 2nd card. The order for the sub was given in the break but he's still playing (to get the card :p ).
Attachment 58395
This, sadly, sound very familiar
Here is my first leg in the Cup, yesterday.
Started very good, 2 goals very early.
Ok, an easy noon I thought.
But then oppo manager started watching and his team scored.
Also started to be more active.
I made a sub and the player who came in, scored in the last minutes.
- I know, some times it seems that nothing can change the flaw of the game, whatever we choose (orders, formations, subs)
but many times it's so obvious that the game is so interactive .
Attachment 58789
I don't know if this is classed as a myth or not, but it's something I've noticed. A player "awed" by a superior opposition.
You have a player that has a fantastic record from free kicks, it's almost guaranteed that he'll score or force a good save, but suddenly you are up against a higher quality team and although he's performing well, he forgets how to take free kicks. They hit the wall or fly off target.
I can understand being outclassed in open play, or a high quality GK making it harder, but I don't accept that a player loses the ability to clear the wall when the defence is good. It's like more stars makes them 2.5 metres tall.
Anyone else experienced this?
I recognize the consecutive yellow too. My MC got a yellow card and dropped in score hard. I made the substitution, wait, wait, wait, wait, 10 minutes later no sub. BAM, second yellow card. Thank you Nordeus.
My defender got a bad score. He was going down to 5,1. Wanted to sub him but he got injured (serves him right for playing poorly). In the 88th minute he gets substituted. 2 minutes later his substitute scores a 5,4 already. This would not make sense. I have seen this happening over and over. The only logical explanation I can think of is that it is scripted. There is no way a defender can drop a point in rating within 2 minutes. It also happens to all the defenders I have been subbing over the last 2 seasons.
When I became a member of the forum, I read a lot of older posts. In one-two of them, I read about the comments of the game, when you’re making a sub.
Someone said that if it’s saying that the player is not happy about that, it means that he didn’t perform well during the game so the sub was a good choice. It was the old time, where you couldn’t see the rates of your players, only after the game.
I also have a comment for a player I sub, saying that he made a great game – but this happened after an injury at 4’ min of the game – lol.
The game uses a variety of comments, picking a different one when an action is happening.
A player is getting out of the game and that’s all.
If your player cannot score from a free-kick and you read comments like
- The ball just skimmed from the bar
- Send the ball in the moon
or whatever, that doesn’t mean anything than that your player failed to score.
The same is about the comments about injuries or cards. It’s a random pick of a comment. Pulling the shirt of a player, doesn’t mean anything more than a player of the team A, made a foul in the player of team B, which caused an injury.
Beyond the myth.
So, what comments are useful for ?
The most important for me, it’s about GKs performance. His saves and reactions in corners can give us more information. When he saves a Free-kick, this counts in his saves but when he saves a corner kick, it’s not on his saves.
Another useful is about the free-kick and corners specialists. When I see continually fails, I switch my specialist during the game.
Also when I have a player with yellow card, I notice some comments about him. If there are more negative comments, it means he has a bad day so I make him a sub. If he has good actions/comments, like (if he is a defender) keep tackling oppo attackers, I let him play.
Myth or fact, Nik: Does name changing of player affects his performance? Also does name changing of stadium/club affects the club's performance?
All those changes are cosmetic - for the fun of the game and the pocket of nordeus haha.
Beyond the Myth :
I also change the names of my players, usually the 18 y.o. fast trainers, which I intend to keep in my team for 4-5 seasons.
Here is two things -
- one is that I train and improve a lot my player so he's getting better during time
- My player, with the new fancy name of a football star, now attract more my attention during the game (than before, with a weird name from a weird country :p ).
I have three questions and a suggestion for the mythbuster
TRUE or MYTH
1. Newly acquired players need time to "gel" with the club and achieve their full potential. They may play poorly at first for no apparent reason. (I think it's plausible)
2. Training while at low condition (yellow, orange) is more likely to injure the player (I think it's plausible)
3. Training while at low condition result in lower SP yields (I think it's a MYTH)
The suggestion is to keep the first post updated with the myths that have been tested/discussed. There are currently only four myths listed in the "resume", even though there are 8 pages of discussions. I think inconclusive or "in progress" myths should also be listed.
Thanks!
