Hi
I am just starting and in season 1.
From discussion I learned so far:
- back towards 14 players
- give players you can an extra star.
At en of seasons players loose a star and you team size is reduced. I have 20 players currently.
Anything else I should take care of at end of season? In one week.

Your team size isn't reduced at the end of the season, also you only loose a star if you finish in the top 7, there's not much really else to do, I always save my dealing for the start of the new season, you could maybe offload some players who haven't played well or who have low stars and get some money in.

Make sure the players you want to keep have contracts or their contracts will end.
Save up tokens and start bidding in new season. (Avoid bidding wars)
Try to sign 5 star players ending in 4 or 9 Quality.
- look for players aged between 18 - 22 although the occasional 25 year old is ok if they're worth it.
- my preference I aim for players with multiple positions like DR/DMR, DC/DMC, ML/AML for example.
Finally, accumulate green packs and train 18 year fast trainers (usually the highest value)

You will not know day 1 fixture time unil new season started. Make sure player in adequate condition for early match, if any.
