Low attendance to start the season?

EDIT Seems there was a bug with the game. I reloaded the game and the match information now correctly displays 7000 fans.


So, last year I was filling my stadium to capacity (7000) every single game. League prices were 6 and champions league/cup prices were 7. None of these prices changed, yet I only had 2674 fans for my first cup match.

I lost in the first round of the cup last season, but I finished well, winning the champion's league and coming in second in the league. It seems to me like I should have had more attendance in my opening match of the season.
