Stop moaning …you were an idiot to go into a bidding war & a bigger tit to come on here crying about it.

Won my first cup game against a team 2lvls higher than me! My new signing Alvarez scored 2goals in his first match, a really good start!
Palace Terriers season preview and Day 1 Cup report.
Palace Terriers are at Level 10 in their 10th season. The playing squad at the start of the season, with their Terriers Career record:

The Management has cast an eye over the Champions League Groups that Palace Terriers will compete in. Terriers are in Group B, and have noted the friends that are in Groups C, D and E...

Today was Mother's Day in the UK, so the Management was treating his other half to a day out, so left it to the AM to guide the team through their away Cup Preliminary Round 1st Leg match. Having only a slight Quality advantage over the opposition, the Terriers took the match carefully, and ended with a one goal lead and two away goals at the end of the match, midfielder Christophe Ouahbi and defender Onder Chamoun scoring.

Its going to be a relaxing season for my squad.
Last season, I tanked. so I'm not planning on making any rosters moves. The goal is to spend 0 tokens and 0 conditions and finish in the top 4. But with leagues being quality based, I might have to use some greens with this new training structure system.
You could say it was an unfair match... and you would be right

Last "year" I made some transfers on Sunday, two days before the league started and it got me into a league with much better opponents.
I believe the reason is that I made my team better so it gave me better teams.
My advise is to wait until you are seeded to your league until you make your transfers if you want to face easier teams.
I cannot follow all conversations related to this. But I think I support you. As managers of teams which are poor in terms of tokens, I always know I should wisely use my tokens instead of complaining that other people have too many tokens.
Limiting no. of tokens on each auction is good and important practice. Besides, I also observe participants of some ongoing or completed auctions in order to identify some auction rich managers who are online. As token poor manager, I will avoid to compete with them in auctions.
Palace Casuals season preview and Day 1 Cup report.
Palace Casuals are at Level 29 in their 33rd season. The Playing squad at the start of the season, with their Casuals career record:

As Casuals finished 6th last season, they did not qualify for the Champions League.
As a result of a Negotiation Offer which the Management saw as a better way of selling a 32-yo GK with SA, Milan Sedlacek became the first transfer activity for this season, leaving in exchange for 1T/$109M. An immediate replacement was acquired when a set of GKs appeared in the Assistant Managers recommendations (makes a change from STs!).
Attachment 63733
Palace Casuals played away in the Cup Preliminary Round 1st Leg and shaded a pretty even match against a team with slightly lower starting XI Quality. Mario Dinamarca achieved super-veteran status with his 200th appearance for Casuals, and celebrated in style with a header from a Jonathan Garrido corner for the only goal of the match.

Another player celebrating a milestone in this match was striker Massimiliano Gerino, making his 50th appearance.

I posted one of these a few seasons ago but I'm going to try and become a full-time member of the forum.
What have you learned from last season?
I learned that you need good back-up for when your players get injured.
Where did you place last season?
League: I suffered last day heartbreak and narrowly missed out on a CL spot
Cup: Unfortunately we couldn't win our third consecutive cup title as we got knocked out at the last 16
CL: A respectable showing, bowing out at the last 16 to the eventual winners
What's your current level?
I'm up to level 12
What's your budget for this season?
It was around 300 million and roughly 70 tokens (I've never bought any tokens). I've spent around 120 million and 15T aprox since then.
Who do you want to replace?
I did a big clear-out, selling on many players and signing five new faces with more expected. I still kept a few loyal club servants who are now one star in order to get an easier league draw.
What are your goals for this season?
Since I have no CL football I'd like to win my first league title. Also if possible, a fourth cup win would be nice but this season the league will be the main priority.
What's your training level?
Level 12, very close to level 13.
I'm very excited for the season and I'm hoping to be active and take advantage of the new training feature. Last season I was inactive during the early parts of the campaign which ultimately cost me.
I've just figured out how attach photos so here's my first update!
We comfortably won our first match of the season 5-2. Gomaa and Kapun scored braces and my new signing who is 99% rated and cost just one token scored as well. We can now intensify training for the starting 11 and start a few of the back-up players in the 2nd leg as we go into tomorrow's match with a three goal cushion.
Attachment 63738
Attachment 63739
I know that this update isn't too great but this is my first time doing anything like this so they should improve. I think I'll do them every other day if possible and baring any real life responsibilities or internet problems.
Personally I usually set my bidding cap at 5 at auctions. It depends on the quality of the player though.
What have you learned from last season?
Nothing much, but trying to get my head around the new training features today and how they impact the players. Its very confusing to work out what quality your player is and what areas need to be improved on. It also seems to have taken a lot more green packs to power train my star player this season than it did last.
Where did you place last season?
League winner, Champions League Winner, Cup runner up.
What's your current level?
Now level 40
What's your budget for this season?
22.3Billion. 185 red, 1.98k blue, 1.57k green. Plenty of tokens.
Who do you want to replace?
I'm struggling to get my head around the quality changes so wont be making any new purchases as all my current players are scout quality at least. I need to work out how good/bad they are compared to the ones on sale now, so will be sticking with my current squad.
What are your goals for this season?
Promotion, preferably as champion.
What's your training level?
Level 26.
What have you learned from last season?
That making transfers before the league starts will put you with much better teams. Also that I am never going to win the cup!
Where did you place last season?
4th in League, Champions League Winner and eliminated in the 32 of the cup.
What's your current level?
Now level 8
What's your budget for this season?
65M
Who do you want to replace?
I tried the 3N-1-3W-1-2 position last season and it went better than expected but I will try to change it to a 4-5-1V style, which means that I have a LOT of transfers to do.
What are your goals for this season?
Promotion, Champions league last 4 maybe and definetely doing better on the cup.
What's your training level?
Level 20.
Thing is there are many hints which will help you decide whether or not to bid against certain managers. Looking at his current squad, does he had open bids on other players of the same position, how great is his need, etc. I set token limits on players I target as desirable and stick to them, if I see 3 or more bidders round 1 i sometimes reconsider my position according to the above criteria.
For instance top value player of day 1 auction is a 18year old DC DMC with CK SA(?) 89q. I place an early bid to speculate and continue watching the lists. 10 minutes before the end of the auction i get two more bidder one of which has open bids on 7 other players. I instantly rescan the list and find a 18 yr old DC q88 that matches my need perfectly for 15 million less and sniped the auction at 1T. The other player went to 15 rounds. The only time I will say all in on a player is when I see a proven player that has 3/4 years with a club that has consistent stellar numbers that meets my needs exactly. Nordgens can be crapshoots, even after power training, I'd rather stick to the devil I know than the one I don't.
Absently dominated my cup opponent too btw.

Yes, we're again Level 7.
What I learned from last season? That tanking is good to increase the quality of your team.
Goals? Win the League (at all costs!!!) and the Cup.
Last season? 11th in league, Top 16 in CL, and added a second Cup in my cabinet.
Replacements? I'd pretty much done my shopping last season, so not much will be needed. But I want an CK-specialist ST (have only 1 ST, David), a DL/DC, and, if lucky, a DMC/MC (these are very hard to get).
Training Level? 18 (Just trained on Day 1)
I'll post the squad pics once I'm done. Good luck everyone!
Fully agree with you on this. Actually we may know a lot about the the bidder e.g. whether they like using auction or prefer nego/scout (many players 5star plus and with SA?), what the position they are in shortage, whether they prefer young or old players, whether they have a high chance to stop bidding because cash will soon be used up, etc. There may be many more. Different people may have different interpretation to the facts obtained from other bidders' team profile. But I 'm sure these information help us to determine whether we will complete with them in auctions.
I agree that Nordeus could ease this process by giving more information to players about other managers during bidding. But if you aren't doing yor research and preparation its all your fault.
Deserved it on second half showing, new players gelling well with two scoring on debut but striker injured on debut really?

1. I have learnt that counter attack is a deadly weapon, and you can beat anybody if you prepare mentally and tactically.
2. Currently level 3 and 6
3. Budget? Spent it already
4. Win as much as possible from there we take it up.
5. Level 17 and 18.
6. I came 5th, first time out of 1st 3 with flying eagles, while golden eaglets were 2 in league 2nd in champs league (painful though).
In other stories, the scouting department has finally discovered the best time to sign quality players with a token or 2 at most. These are 1 token players for my two teams.

Quite Low budget right? There has been no offer to acquire tokens in Nigeria since last December, I have just a referral but have been surviving with last season been the worst of all.
Can anyone help me please ?
I'm at level four, just very confused as your players loose a star at the start of each season. Dispite training constantly, I can't seem to get my players to jumps more than one star per season. Does this mean you basically have to keep buying tokens and buying better players opt can you do it without spending a fortune. I tend to limit myself to 80 tokens per season
you can buy tokens or you can be patient and build it from the ground up
Yeah, its Foster who I've power trained and he is 27 now.
Its taken nearly 800 greens this time to get him the equivillent of around 60 'old' cones. Think it was around 550 last year so a big jump in the green packs, even putting age into consideration.
Im using all my pack farming to get greens so hope to have enough to keep power training him each season, but it may get to the point when he gets 30+ that is simply isnt worth doing.
I have a player called Pitry who I keep training. He's 25 now and I want him to break appearance record of 259 set by a GK a long time ago when I tanked. He has 229 so far.
Phoenix United advance through the Cup with a 6-1 victory 14-1 agg.
Escobar scored a hat trick
Hagedorn assisted by Pitry
Reno
New left back Ribeiro
Escobar increases total assists to 104.
Striker Nikolic scored 2 goals in a 3-0 Cup win over Lescurry FC after a goalless first leg away draw.
AEPRE FC also signed three free agents to help with Huliano method, reducing starting 11 and overall quality ahead of the league draw which will be held tomorrow.
Five 5* players have been removed from the starting 11, and a friendly match may possibly be held.
Goalscorers Nikolic 70' 88' Sivan 75'
Man of the Match Nikolic (9.2), Sivan also receives the same rating.
you dont have to buy tokens, everyday i get 5 free token from watching videos, and i mean everyday.
What have you learned from last season?
that you can lose your first position on the last day of the season.
Where did you place last season?
first team won cup and champions league but third in league, second team won treble
What's your current level?
Now level 8 and level 4
What's your budget for this season?
101 million. 44 red, 22 blue, 27 green. 126 tokens.(first team)
Who do you want to replace?
I want to change every player and buy new ones, (first team)
What are your goals for this season?
treble or double(first team)
What's your training level?
Level 21.
On my second team I signed a player called Espinosa DMR/MR corner taker. I play him MR and he's scored 7 goals 5 assists 2 MOTM out of 2 games.
I set him as corner taker and freekick taker as he uses both feet. He has very high physical stats and his defence is better than his attack yet he's a machine.
Not a bad start.
What have you learned from last season?
Bonus rules !!
Where did you place last season?
1st in league, 1st in CL. And 1st in cup as well.
Hey ! That's a treble !! :o
What's your current level?
15 (17th season)
What's your budget for this season?
400 M and loads of tokens
Who do you want to replace?
Not many - respect for this roster
What are your goals for this season?
Have some rest. Win the CL (looks rather easy this season).
Tank or not tank ? will see...
What's your training level?
29
Bought a right back to complete squad and played him and look what happens! Injured again

Day 2 - Palace Casuals report.
Palace Casuals go past the Preliminary Round of the Cup for the third season running, winning the home 2nd Leg 4-2 for a 5-2 aggregate. Left-winger Andre Faisca bags a hat-trick and then goes off injured, preserving the 10 rating he had and claiming the MoM award from the back of the ambulance carting him off to the Casuals Hospital. Right-winger Maarten Wiegman scored the other goal, and the defence had a late lapse, letting in two late goals.

Atlético Kolkata Day 1 & 2 Report
We got kicked out of the Cup, with a 2-2 and a 2-0 loss at home and away, respectively. This wasn't planned, but then we get loads of time for the league. Still waiting for an auction to end, then I'll send the squad pics. I'm desperate for a league now, hadn't won it in 7 seasons, it's for what I'd tanked.
I'd criticize gert on his managerial choices but I think he already knows what he did wrong in a 2nd leg home leg where he was up 2:3 on aggregate.
Attachment 63762
Through 4:1, Pena with a goal and an assist, our opponents were harder than we were, lol, I'm backing up slowly down the tunnel after that match.
