Thats known as the Butterfly and its one of the best formations that can be used in Top Eleven. Can be countered by 4-2-2-2 Hexagon I beleive.

What happened to best players in their best positions? Why is the AMR out of position?

Like July says, it's the butterfly. The only thing I don't like is the opponent's central MC only being double marked.

For some reason the out-of-position player (who can play DMR+MR, a good, young and most expensive player of mine) always perform well in AMR position. His rating is alway 7 and above sometime 9 and MOM.

Thus I dont think he is out of position, he can perform well there. Have you ever experience something like that?

You asked that twice lol.

Looking at the butterfly, the only central midfielders you have are the two MCs, no AMCs, no DMCs, so the opponent's central MC, if he has one, will only be marked by those two players.

So, are you trying to tell me that the Butterfly formation weakness is the lack of midfield MCs? I thought 2 MCs is enough to fight against 2MC of 4-2-2-2 Hexagon. Why this butterfly formation cannot beat the Hexagon?

I play with 2 MC too but there is always a DMC behind for support

No, the weakness is the lack of central midfielders, including AMCs and DMCs. The classic 4-4-2 has a similar problem. I think the butterfly can beat the hexagon, though. I'd definitely consider it against the hexagon.

Are these 2 formation too weak in defense despite there are 2 DMC? Are there any particular formation can easily beat them? Thanks
