it's not worthy to powertrain a 28 y.o. player.
Just use him in the daily team training for the bonus .
Buy another for the new season

Last season I bought a 0T academy keeper, due to him I fail to lost a league match, which I don't want to win and he got MoM, save 6 shot. Looks like he turn to a FT academy player this season after new upgrade, training season he gaining skill not bad too.

@nik...
theoretical, i have a 18 year old gk.. 99 stats. how can be powertrain on tablet/phone version? Not able to use old version or desktop one.
My gk trought normal training , using most easy or very easy drills has bad stats in trowing, punching..etc..( middle section on skill stats )..
Back to topic, i havent seen many saves in my games.. Neither mine or oposite..But i notice a lack of scoring from my players..Strange...after last update.
And on top of that i cant use special coach on those 4 trainings.
I 'm not an expert in the new training style but there are 2-3 very interesting threads in Tutorials and Guides section.
My personal opinion is that GK is a unique part of the game and it's not worthy to invest many greens to powertrain a GK and keep him for some seasons.
(specially after this http://forum.topeleven.com/%CE%93%CE...k-mystery.html :o )
I also don't suggest to invest to a ST (only for adding a AM position or maybe a sa like F-K S.specialist).
Same thing this season, oppo GKs making 5-6 saves every second game.
Mine, no :(
Anyway, lets go in another old subject of the game. GK injuries
Today I had two
With RINOKEROS, I left my injured GK in the game (watching it from the old version).
He made one save too :p

I also wanted to leave him in the game but I switched version (from new to old version cause i couldn't see the stats) and the game made an auto sub and put a DC (I don't have a 2nd good GK)
About previous posts for oppo Super Goalkeepers, I read other posts that I 'm not the only one.
Good, cause I was thinking that maybe my attackers are useless and making every oppo Goalkeeper playing like Neuer
Low SoT conversion could still come down to tactics and skill balance.
Few seasons ago I tried a young MC who took many worthless shots in the few matches before he was sold. If you believe Khris's idea that some players have internal programming to shoot, or hold the ball, or tackle too hard more often than others, then it could be that those players are taking many bad shots, either off target, or easily stopped. Like if you panic and play hard attack, up arrows for everyone, you might get more shots, not more goals.
It can be mentality, or arrows to the wrong player, or wrong pressing, or....
Good real world defence will try to force or corral the play into a certain area of the field, like allowing many crosses into a crowded box while preventing a fast counter through the middle.
I sometimes check the Mourinho team, and you can notice many players have shooting or finishing near 100. Maybe it means nothing, or maybe it means that any player you expect to shoot the ball, regardless of position, needs the right skill balance. And that might not mean only shooting 200...
I also remind everyone, to win needs only 1 goal. Sometimes fouls, or low possession, pass accuracy... All can look bad, but only the one with a Win smiles.
I won't disagree but you miss the point.
The reason for those latest posts of mine is
- If a GK get injured during the game, the penalty shouldn't be more serious for the team ?
Also if a player oop replace him ?
Maybe GK injuries should removed from game-play ?
It gives unrealistic results.

I also believe in the "talent", a hidden factor of the players, but Khris wrote that a couple of years ago.Quote:

At that time, the goalies had 1,2,3 saves in the games and having 5-6-7 or more saves, it was very very rare.
Now you can see that almost every day by day.
Something changed.
Is GK the Judge of the games ?
is he the new troll ?
