    Question Coincidence?

I am closing the league play with games against the 4th, 10th, 3rd and 2nd place teams. Also 2nd and 3rd just played among themselves.

Coincidence, or did T11 rank us right away, scheduled the decisive games for the end, and then fudged the results to have us finish in the order it, ahem, predicted?

Or, even more deviously, did it come up with a schedule randomly and then fudged the results to make the final games the most meaningful and intense?

I may take the excitement out of these last 3 rounds when I get the next point (as in a draw), but still. I find this curiously curious.

They changed the scheduling lon the browser patch, it used to be the highest rated teams would face each other in the last 2-3 games of the season. Now it is totally different. I just beat 2nd and 3rd and hopefully can close out with 4 wins.
Renamed to Bolton Wanderers Season 27.

Oh. I guess the top 4 rated teams are the top 4 in the league. Duh.

I don't get the "Now it is totally different" part. Seems exactly as you described.

Please do not be paranoid: happened to me a couple of times for sure but this season I played my runner up on game 1 and the 3rd on game 2. So, I'll call that a coincidence.

it is a bit strange that when I am not tanking and trying to win the league it ends up that I play the top 2 or 3 teams in the final games. It is almost as if it is scripted.........

There is likely to be a relation between the fixtures and the initial quality of the teams at the time of the draws. Those having a relatively better initial quality are classified as first seeds or favorites ,and they are set to face each other on specific days of the season.
    Bunzo and ponzu like this.

Exactly. Which is what HoofDaddy explained in his reply, only he said it "used to be" that way, and now is "completely different". Which I cannot agree with; it seems to be exactly that way:

Nordeus schedules the top rated teams to play each other towards the end of the schedule --> Top rated teams go on to become league leaders --> League leaders play each other towards the end of the season.

I should have figured this out more easily.

Sometimes a highly rated team tanks or gets abandoned or falls behind in the standings for another reason. And perhaps a low rated team is only low rated on paper -- due to 4-5 dead weight 1* players who do not take part in the games. Then you end up playing a successful team low rated) early on and a loser (highly rated) towards the end and it gives you an impression that it's all random.
