Day 13 - Palace Casuals report.

Palace Casuals played their last Champions League Group stage match at home, and, yielding 1 Level and 2.7Q, stunned their opponents with a superb defensive display, led by a MoM performance from goalkeeper Marcos Sacilotto. Angelo Musto provided a perfect corner for the late-arriving Graeme Flood to head into the net for the only goal of the match, with 18 minutes left on the clock. Sacilotto did the rest with two great saves in the last 5 minutes, which earned Casuals the win, and 2nd place in the Group, qualifying for the Knockout stage of the competition.





Three hours later, the Casuals squad lined up for a home League match, and produced an equally sound performance, but obviously tired towards the end of the match as they let the visitors sneak in an equaliser. Graeme Flood capped a good day for him with the Casuals goal, and MoM for this match.
