If he was 18 & no stats then he´s probably came from the youth set up..he should train quickly
you just don't know that.
But today and tomorrow I 'm selling some really good players and fast trainers too, to end my season with few players and low quality.
I´ve just won the cup level 11 after dumping half my team last season ;)
trying to sell a fast trainer (a nordgen I bought this season)

You should keep trying. Im not sure how the transfer system lists players, you have better luck once the new season starts but of course ghe value will be less. I dont buy any players really once the new season begins, just sell off my worst at yhe end of i can.
It may be because it wont be listed in your leagues list coz its a scout player and u can only buy up to 5 stars.

I brought two fast trainer this season, one 18 yrs MC, one 19 year DC...and today...they already has 7 stars (127%) 7 days ago... i didn't power train them, i just did the whole team training before every match~
