First season, what is next?

Hello everybody. Right now I'm playing my first season, and now I'm in second place. I'm second best team in my league,
I won a lot of times 5-0 and 7-0 becouse I collected truly nice and very young team. My rating now is 5 stars 87%(22.0) 621K money and unfortunatly only 10 tokens((( That was absolutely my mistake because I spent a lot of it's in vain... So what is next? What should I do first in my 2-nd season? Do I have to improve my current roster? I have almost four(two already) 19 years olld players with 6 stars, six 18 years olld players(4-5 stars) 22 years olld player with 5 stars, 20 years olld player with almost 6 stars.

The second season will start next…tomorrow :)

Pre season time so play friendly matches and plan for new season tacticaly and financialy.

By the way, my main opponent has got a streak of 15 wins(is this real?!?!) and now he is on the first place(+3 points from me). It's unbelievably unfair, I lost 2 times to weaker opponents, but he didn't do the same...

So do u think my current roster is pretty nice for next level?

No. You need to roast some of them and sell them as roasted meat in the market. :p

Most of them are still developing quite well)

I also have some
useless players, but they don't cost much

With Champions League, my team will play 2 games per day, right?

Not so rare. Might have been for your case so far, but some users have had a decent amount of days with 3 matches. And some can even have 2 of the 3 matches as close as 3 hours to each other.

How many days this season did you have 3 games in the same day ?

Don't do anything. I've managed CL spots in those levels with 2* teams. The CL games give you a lot of money for at least 6 matches, while in the Cup 2 games and you're out. I'd suggest you to build up your finances now, since you already have a decent squad. Don't spend the greens(unless they're less than 50%), reds and blues(may spend the blue to convert orange morale to yellow)

3. It could have been more if my team was not knocked-out at the 1/8 final stage of the C.L.

By the way, I even had one case where there was less than 3 hours between 2 competitive matches (League and Cup). This was last season. I posted about it in the thread for last season.

Im sure you did but it is still very rare for players to have the three games in one day. I´ve had a few where there´s been the 3 hours between games .If that happens & it´s a home game you have the option to spend the two tokens & move the game.

The option of moving a league game that was 3 hours before the Cup final this season was not available though.

@ the_answer is from Ukrain so it's rare to have 3 games in a day.
This happening usually to players from America or Far East when playing with European managers.

Yeah, 3 three games in one day is a question of timezones. If you are near GMT you should only really get two. I got three, once I think ,but one was at 00:07 in the night so it doesn't really count.

I do get games within a few hours of eachother a lot tho, which can be a little annoying if you cant play in that time.

You need 1 of 2 things - green packs or 22 strong players to rotate in so your players don't get tired if you can't use any packs. So building a team is important, depending on the strategy you go for.

I was outpaced on 1 point in the end of the season and finished 2-nd((( It's so sad...

At least it was a good experience..

The first season is usually expected to be a good experience in this game. The bad sides of the game will start to appear in the following seasons. :p

All in the game is a good experience so enjoy it.
Im in my 13th season & have not come across "The bad sides of the game"

is there any sense to sell average players in the end of the season when they cost more before they lost stars and skills?

No offence meant to you, but not everyone has a 7-star team like yours, with players having special abilities and multiple positions, and so on. Not everyone can earn a lot of packs and tokens from offers, for instance to deal with the excessive amount of injuries and so on. Your views are biased due to the significant advantages that you have and due to success that you had mainly because of to those advantages.

You must consider other situations, especially the most common situations, not only yours. :)

On the finance side of view, it is better to sell players at the end of the season. Also, selling some high quality, but old players can provide additional advantages. You can sell some players, but do not sell so much that you will have trouble to play the first few matches of new season. As a guideline, you can sell the players that are 'duplicates'; keep at least a player for covering a position in 1-2 formations that you will likely to use in the first games next season in case you will not be able to get the desired players from the market in the first few days of the new season. Selling more players, for example if you have two players for the DL position and 2 players for DR position, and you sell all four of them is big risk. You might not be able to get a proper DL and a proper DR in the first few days of the next season. This will also cause you to go into bidding wars. The same applies for the other positions. And surely, don't do that for the case of GKs; if you don't have any eligible GK for use for the first Cup match, you are almost guaranteed to lose that match. You definitely need to sell the players that will likely retire in the next season though (usually 30-33 years old), especially if you are low on virtual money, unless like I have said, in the case where you don't have any cover for the particular position for the start of the next season.

the_answer: also keep an eye on contracts that are about to expire. If you don't intend to keep such players for more seasons, that is to renew their contracts, it is better to sell those players before their contract expire.

Don't extend. The way this game functions, usually a user has to sell most of his players after 2-3 years. It is usually much better to buy new players. Also, for extending the contract of players you will have to pay unrealistic, so called one-time bonuses. One of the only reasons to extend the contract of a player is when you have invested a lot in this player, that is you used a lot of tokens or green packs to train him to a certain superior level.

Have a look at your squad details. Those that have only 1 year left on their contract are those that will be out of contract the next season. Those are the players that you will likely need to sell before the next season starts; else you will lose some significant amount of virtual money.

And if ever you have to extend a player's contract, then do it in the last season (that is, 1 year left). If you are sure you want to keep the player, then do it early in that season; else you can do it later in that season.
