Maybe the quality/level doesn't count but the quality per lv counts.
meaning, a group of teams (mixed levels) with 6* players have a draw vs also a group of 6* teams.
In that case, a group of teams with 3*-4*-5* gonna face a similar q group.
In that case, good coaching maybe bring the cup

An option might be if you have a 6* squad in your level and an opponent 3 levels higher has a 5* squad, maybe in associations you will have the stronger squad regardless of level. That might motivate token buyers.

It's the only way I can see a fair competition with friends as all my friends are all sorts of levels.

I also have the impression that teams in the same association must be fb friends.
But if you all don't have enough friends, don't worry.
We 'll promote friendship for the new competition here in the forum.
